It's that time of year again when all things auto and British make their way to Gingin.

This year it is on Sunday the 18th May.

Any WA MINI owners interested in forming a convoy to Gingin sign up here.
Let's see if we can beat last years turnout of 1.

I met David at Auto Classic, he was almost bursting with anticipation (but hiding it well)!

Might see you both on Sunday. Peter Merks said he was going along.

Id David is there it will be like double vision with our cars.

options for Sunday.
1 direct route Perth to Gingin about 85 Km
2 longer route via Clackline, Toodyay and Bindoon, about 175 Km
Auto Classic might be a good meeting point.

MEDIUM RANGE FORECAST FOR PERTH FOR:
Saturday : Showers and winds easing. Min: 11 Max: 18
Sunday : A few showers. Min: 9 Max: 19
Monday : Fine. Min: 8 Max: 20
If this looks like being accurate I'm probably on & fancy the Toodyay route.
Will see how things pan out & make a decision Saturday if that's OK with you? Meeting at Auto Classic seems like a good idea.

Thanks to David and Peter this years run to Gingin was the biggest yet. 3 cars and we did see an all black MCS parked in Gingin.

The run to Gingin was good, the rain held off and there was little traffic to get in our way.

This is the WA chapter ready to leave from Auto Classic, the white car in the background belongs to the President of the WA BMW Club who were just turning up as we were leaving.

I have to say those 2 DS/W MCSs looked so good in my rear view mirror it was a pity I couldn't take my hands off the wheel to take a pic.

It was a fun day. The drive up to Gingin was awesome! Great roads and little traffic.

The Festival had a really good variety of British cars. Of course the Mini's were of particular interest. I had forgotten how small the originals were.

I won the prize for worst overtaking manoever. Got caught on the outside of a really long line of MG's(?) and didn't want to cut them up by diving in. It is about the first time I have overtaken anything since I moved to Perth so a little rusty!!

I am looking forward to the next outing, thanks guys.
