Offline | Ceremonial party - what a cool idea. I took mine home, threw a bag in the boot, met some friends and headed out to Bathurst for the race weekend. And got booked by the cops when I got there (foglight use). The odometer had about 300km on it but the cop wouldn't listen ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Hi, Now that makes me feel great! Someone going down to the port at dawn to take a picture of the ship with their mini onboard. That is dedication, and it is brilliant! Its like someone proudly showing you a fuzzy ultrasound picture of their 8 week old baby. Good luck. You will obviously love your car. Robbo |

| MINI2 Regular | Speaking of car cover, I find that with the non-original ones, we need to cut a small hole at the back to accomodate the radio antenna - anyone else doing this? Congrats Harry! Andy. --- 2002 Mini Cooper Pure Silver/ Black | CVT | Driving Lights | Leather |

Offline | I love the ship photo - I think all of us know the feeling and the reason why. I spent hours looking on webcams from the one at Southampton to Sydney Harbour just looking for a glimpse. My S should be delivered to Canberra tomorrow. I just happen to be heading over that way - coincidence.....I don't think so ![]() |

Offline | I think this is a pretty standard thing to do - I bought a car cover for my Audi A3 and had to do the same, and I remember the cover even came with a patch to put on the cover where the hole was made, to strengthen it so it wouldn't tear. That MCS must be pretty close to CBR by now ![]() |

Offline | You'd think so wouldn't you. No show Never mind I stood around in the showroom talking about insurance and warrenty etc, smelling that fantastic new car smell (yes I know they're actually noxious fumes) and admiring how the lights gleam off the cars on display. Kept looking up the road hoping that the next truck would be carrying my Car. Wasn't too be - maybe tomorrow. Anyone else go with BMW Insurance? Very tempting here in Canberra as they only have a single repairer if all goes pear shaped. Apparently he won the International Panel Beating award last year taking it outside the US for the first time. |

Offline | I used BMW Insurance for my MCS I hope you're sitting down The premium is $3500 a year - I had just turned 23 when I picked up the car and have a 40% NCB. Sydney + under 25 + Forced Induction = But I've heard about that panel beater in CBR - as you say, best in the world apparently! I had my reservations on how you could actually judge that objectively and take in every panel beater in the world, but...? I have friends down there who used him for their CLK when it was damaged and said the work was superb. Any day now!! Can't the stealership tell you?Speaking of warranty, I took the Triple Three option too. A friend just had the 15k service and it was about $400. Given that for $1300 Triple Three gives you 60k of servicing AND a third warranty year, it's a no brainer really ![]() |
