Thumbs down Interior Moister Problem - AUS

Lowering and raising the windows after rain or washing the MCS, causes streaking (grime) on the 'inside' of the driver & passenger windows.

Is anybody in Aus having the same problem?

Lots of others have reported it. My car does it too, a wee bit annoying but I can live with it.

Me too. Getting wet on the outside and greasy on the inside.

My service guy said it's quite common on all BMWs.

I've owned three BM's and never had this problem. Wul (UK) had the dealer replace the window seals. So far no problem 3 months out.

United-Kingdom

related: but I tell you, I've got a worse problem.

I once made the mistake of putting the windows down, not noticing a bird had sh*t on the window.

Resulting in the droppings going down inside the seal. So now, everytime I clean minny's windows, they get "smeared with sh*t" as soon as I put the windows down again.

An Important Lesson for us!!!

I normally hand-wash minny myself, but I'm considering maybe I need to JetWash or take it BMW to clean up properly.

sniff! boo hoo!

I have this same problem.

The inside of the driver side window, and the outside of the passangers window are always wet after I wash the car. My dealer put it in the wet tester and coulden't find a problem. Funny that! The next day I wash the car and guess what. It's wet again.

Coop's.

This is a common problem with MINI's.

I read on a thread somewhere that replacing the interior seals does the trick. After an oil service recently I was told they couldn't find the window moisture problem. It was raining when I called in to pick up the car so I asked the service guy to jump in. I took him around the block, pulled back into the service area opened and closed both windows and guess what ........ very wet inside the windows.

They have ordered the seals.

yeah i get that problem too
it's so annoying coz i always make sure i dun open my windows for a few hours after i've washed my car so that i dun get streaky and stuff
but no matter what, i still get those annoying streaks on the inside of the window...just figured it was a fault in the design or fit of the seals or something

i got an exhaust because i wanted to make my car sound fast, but its not fast at all, so therefore i am a ricer....

They can fix it. Mine had a noise. They get it fixed at the service. However, they did need to order parts. It took two day in total for that service.
