Offline | Two less Cooper S in Vic Hi guys. For those who know me, I have been working (really hard) interstate and have not logged in for a couple of months. How is everybody? Anyway, just wanted to tell you guys that I have sold my car back to BMW Melbourne. I was no longer happy with the vehicle unfortuntely. I had a ball in the car when I had it, as some of you guys may have seen or heard. The Mini really goes when the road tightens up, and even the top speed is not too shabby. I will still pop in this section once in a while if I am still welcomed. I would also go on the drives with you guys if invited. Good luck all and keep in touch!!!![]() |

Offline | I think a few of us are frustrated with our little gems but i'm not yet at the point when i want to leave 'the club'. EB/W MCS. outguns AUDI TT's on the straight..........sometimes. |

Offline | Paul, I would have liked to have hung on to the car for longer, but it was just ****ing me off how BMW Australia has been treating me. I wrote a letter of complaint to BMW and even have heard no response from them. I called them and was told that they will call me back, but again nothing. The latest problem was discovering that the spare keys did not even belong to my vehicle. They suggested that a set of new spare will be cut for me. To me that is just not good enough, as it means someone else probably has my spare key. Actually Scott, have you ever checked your spares? Our cars were delivered almost together, so maybe you have my spare while I had yours. I also found out recently that BMW had repaired my run-flats (the car came with a nail on the tyre) when I first bought the vehicle when Pirelli has adviced that the tyres be replaced instead of repaired. My original plan was to keep the Mini and buy a M3 in the next few months, but I now refuse to buy a BMW. Boxster S looks better now than ever before. Just have to decide if I want new or used. |

Offline | Boo, I certainly had a great time with you guys on that drive day. Hope to do more with you and others when I get my next car soon. GOing away again soon, so will have my new car when I come back. I'm pretty set on Boxster S at this stage. Hey, luckily I didn't promise you my car for the wedding huh? All the best to you and Mel! ![]() |

Offline | BMW are also ....ing me off, glad I'm not the only one! I have sent 3 emails complaining about my car to BMW and have had no reply and despite promises to return phone calls they never do. The policy seems to be ignore them and hope the go away! The lack of customer service when you have a serious complaint is amazing. If I could afford a Boxster my MINI would be history! |

| MINI Traitor | Way mate, we'll miss you around here. Please stay around though, there is plenty of room. I was looking forward to meeting you when I'm in Melbourne in a couple of weeks. If this is any consolation, I think the cars they are selling now are very good, and pretty much fault free. Ours has been excellent apart from a few rattles and squeeks which come and go. Seems to be the price you pay for going first. Unless you're Snoopy, in which case it's a little like granpa's Axe ![]() |

Offline | Sorry to see you and your MCS part company Way particularly as a result of poor customer service from BMW. Our experiences with them have been totally opposite. Mini Garage Sydney and Mini Aus have been excellent so far with some minor issues we have had with the Cityclinic MCS. |

Offline | WAY, as I've posted in another thread, sorry to hear that you no longer have an MCS, especially in light of bad customer service from BMW. You'll always be welcome to join us for any outing, but I suspect that whatever you end up with will be one or two levels higher in performance than our MINIs. Good luck to you. For those of you who don't know WAY, he had an early MCS, and was one of the first to try to organise drives down here in Melbourne. He had a few mods to his MCS and was always extremely approachable and forthcoming in his knowledge of most things MINI. His driving was par excellence and he showed a few of us that what we have in a MINI is quite extraordinary. His experience in driving other marques allowed him to display his real driving talents in a MINI. I'll miss you grinning (or grimacing?) at me in my rear view mirror. Don't become a stranger. ![]() Regards and thanks, ElTel |
