Offline | Vote 1 Mini!!! Its time for a change in government - vote 1 Mini - seen lurking near Parliament house today my new BRG. Yes! - I finally have it and I am well pleased. There was a small hiccup at delivery which was going to delay receipt by a few days but through the efforts of the Rolfe Classic team and their General Manager going beyond the call of duty, I picked it up this morning. I've been making excuses all day to go for just one more drive - pick up the wifes car, bread, beer, check out the headlights etc etc. And to think that I used to grumble about all the round-abouts in Canberra...not any more, I've been having a blast ![]() |

Offline | Canberra is home of the roundabout - I had my first experience this morning with someone expecting me to have to slow down for roundabouts - pulled out right in front of me. Not yet used to all the horn or light positions otherwise he would have got more than a surprised look from me. I'm taking Monday off to put some more miles on - this car is sooooooo much fun ![]() |

Offline | Looks very nice mate. Just two words for you GO WEST. The mountains are getting nice and cold but no snow yet to put a wet blanket on your fun. Soak up the temps on the lower side of 10 degrees and feel that baby go. Up here in Brisbane we relish the thought of temps that low and twisty mountain roads to boot. We've got some nice mountain roads but the temp rarely gets below 15 degrees, maybe 10 degree on a cold winters day. When I was 17 a mate I worked in Thredbo with had a 1970's MINI pannel van that his dad had very nicely hotted up for him. Recaro seats, bored out Cooper S motor and some really nice 13" alloy race wheels. 100mp/h was alot of fun along the road from Jindabyne to Thredbo every day to work. Just imagine it in your new Cooper S. Uh Oh I'm wearing boxer shorts and thinking about that car and that road, I could get me in trouble. ![]() better stay sitting down for a while and think of Margaret Thatcher in the nude on a cold day!!!! Cheers and have fun Jase ![]() 02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. You don't know the meaning of practical until you've owned a Camry! (seriously it's not a bad car though ) |
