Australia Aussie Forum Guidelines

All,

I've noticed, and it has been mentioned to me that we are getting a lot of miscellaneous posts in here. I know alot of people around here are new, so let's have a talk about what should happen in the Aussie forum. As I see it.....

1. Australian specific run/meeting information and reports.
2. Austalian specific maintenance topics, such as tyre prices in Aus, or group buy information for Aussie users only. Runflat/normal debates should be in the wheel/tyre forums.
3. Club formation information for Aussies.
4. Specific calls/announcements to other Aussies (that can't be handled directly).

All other general stuff should be posted in the appropriate forums. If you need info, do a seach, it's really powerful, and quite a reasource. Don't forget to check the FAQ's too.

May I also suggest that if you have something that you think is of particular interest to fellow Australians, and is also of interest to the wider community, then I can put a re-direct on. Say you had a thread about your tour of the country with lots of interesting pictures an stuff, just post it up, and ask me to redirect it to the general discussion forum. Then a redirect stays in the Aussie forum, and it can also be seen by the greater MINI community

If we don't do this, then it's possible that the value of MINI2 as an international community could be watered down, which I don't think anyone wants.

I don't want anyone to feel bad either about what's there now, as I know I'm as guilty as anyone of this in the past. We just need to work together to make it better
