Exclamation Brisbane Mini Run Sun 1st June

Hey there fellow Brisbane MINI pilots. We clubMINI guys are planning a run for Sunday 1st June and we'd like as many MINI's as possible. New people are always welcome.

Here's a breif overview of what the day will hold.

8:00 for 8:30 departure from Macdonalds Newmarket. We'll then head out through Ferny Grove, Samford, Dayboro, Mt Mee, Woodford, Kilcoy, Somerset and Wivenhoe to arrive at RED CEDAR CREEK picnic area on the western side of MT Glorious for a BBQ lunch, we are asking for donations of $5 per person to cover lunch costs but you'll have to bring your own drinks. All profits (if any??) will go toward the start up costs of clubMINI. After lunch we'll head up through Mt Glorious and Mt Nebo back to The Gap where we'll wrap up and disperse at around 2pm.

It will be a top day and the cooler temps forecast for late May and early June will ensure some wonderful supercharger whines from those who have the S.

Running sheets including Rally Points and contact numbers will be provided for the day so you can drive at your own pace.

I DO HAVE TO MENTION THAT THIS RUN IS IN NO WAY COMPETITIVE AND WE DO NOT CONDONE OR ENCOURAGE THE INFRINGEMENT OF QLD ROAD LAWS. ALWAYS DRIVE WITHIN YOUR OWN LIMITS AND REMEMBER IT'S YOUR CAR, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

Please let me know if you like to come along so we can sort out catering for lunch. You can simply post here, e-mail me at jason@markskinner.com.au or call me on 0413 871453.

Cheers and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Jason

Sounds good.. I will let you know early next week whether I will be along.

Just a question, is this a 'guy' thing, is anyone bringing their partners/girlfriends/wives along?

Also what do you mean by Rally Points?

Thanks,

Neeshil

Cool

Howdy Jason,
I will be there with bells on Don't know about partner though ...... 12 weeks before our first offspring is hatched has left her in a fragile anti-MINI drive state

Count me in!

I'll bring the cricket gear so we can have a bit of a hit in the park during lunch.

It's hard to say if there will be wives/girlfirends etc. If she wants to come then bring her as there is usually a couple of girls who own MINI's that come along too.

I was thinking of bringing my girlfriend but I think my wife may want to come!!!

EDITED...A rally point is a meeting point. When there are so many cars people are bound to be left behind at times. To avoid getting lost we have RALLY points where the lead car stops and waits for the last car to catch up and then off we go again, they're more important in the urban areas or where we come to a junction.

Good response though guys so far:
Danny - bumble bee Cooper
Jase - Red & White S
Chris - Silver Cooper
Steve - EB S
Neeshill - Silver Cooper
Rob - Red & White S with many many extras

that's 6 starters in only a couple of hours, I'd like to try for 20 cars this time.

Cheers Monkeys

Hey thanks Sass it will be great to meet you and your sister. If Luv2mini and her sister come there'll be quite a few girls along on the run, I'd better make sure I wear pants

Thanks for the support guys, we're up to about 7 cars so far.

Cheers

Hey Guys, two more cars, I think we're up around 10 so far, that's great. I look forward to seeing Neil & luv2mini on the day. I'm sure we'll be able to find a passnger seat for Callun. Although I am hoping to bring my wife to once again avoid al the rumours that she is in fact not real.

sometime later next week I'll do a confirm list and post it up, if your name's not on it then you can remind me.

time to split, what am I doing in the office at 11:30am on a Saturday????

LOL @ jase's "fake" wife, and thanks for the offer Neil.

I'd like to get into as many different MINI's as possible, IF possible, and all offers are appreciated.

Cheers,

Jug

So, do I have to bring my own econobox to join the fun?

If I need to, I'll turn my sub around so I get sound system turbo by forcing the air out the back instead

I believe that I cn make it at this stage. I can get youout there via mini, but it might be best if there is someone solo for you to join them for the day.
