Unhappy Lost the MINI key ..........

After a great day at Balmoral Beach today we discovered we had lost the MINI key. We had just started retracing our steps and the mobile phone rings:
"Hi"
"Credit Card Sentinel here are you Mr Robinson" came the reply.
"Yes"
"Have you lost your MINI key"
"ah ........ yes"
"We have Francoise on the phone and he has found your key, let me put you through"
"Franscoise"
"Yes, I have your key, are you still in Balmoral" came the reply in a cool french accent.
"Yes, are you far from the corner fish and chip shop"
"No, we are across the road" came the reply
"I'll meet you at the Coffee shop next door"
"See you in two minutes" said Franscoise

Francoise and his partner Helen had found the key up the other end of Balmoral where I had somehow lost it while walking or playing with our friends kids. He looked at the little blue Credit Card Sentinal Disc attached to the key and phoned the toll free number. In less than five minutes I was shouting him and Helen, his partner, a coffee for their trouble. A hell of a lot cheaper than replacing the MINI key.

What a great service, it came free with one of the credit card services offered by 'which bank' which of course, I am so pleased I completed the forms and returned rather than do my usual, cast a disinterested eye over the included advertising blurb that comes with the new card, throw away jobs.

Thanks Credit Card Sentinel; Francoise and Helen

I had no idea that Credit Card Sentinel could be used to recover car keys. What next?

Happy ending to what could have been an expensive day out.

a great story brad, good to see human nature isn't all that bad, unlike what the media likes to depict on our tv's.

brad still can't explain why the fact the drivers seat had been moved and why the car smelt of french perfume, right brad :-) :-D :-)

OK, lets be a pessimist.

Found the MINI keys. Hunted down the MINI that the keys belonged to.

Found cityclinic MINI. Lime green on BRG with lights and all.

Soon realise that it would be difficult to remain inconspucious stealing this MINI.

Rings hotline.

Maybe I should work for ACA or Today Tonight...
