Offline | Borla Exhaust Any Aussies running a Borla cat-back S/S exhaust on a Cooper S ? Have heard good things in the relative forums, that is for those of us who want a warmer sounding, non-droning system (the old guys...). Apparently no Australian distributor, so am looking into buying direct from USA. Anyone else interested ? Would help amortise freight/importation and perhaps improve buying price. Will post pricing etc once Borla confirm. Cheers. |

Offline | IML 337 Thanks for your thoughts. Are you ruinning their system ? How would you describe loudness and drone at speed ? Any contact details for Hi-Tech, or website ? |

Offline | I am not but other members are. The system is as quiet as, if not quieter than stock. One member here went back and asked for smaller mufflers for more noise! I would think in that case that drone isn't existant, but I've no first hand experience sorry. If this Harman Kardon retrofit business proves too expensive I'll probably have one in a few weeks.http://www.hitechmufflers.com.au/mini.html not a great deal of info but contact details are there - expect to pay about $1200 fitted I think? In terms of workmanship there isn't really anyone else better in Sydney from what I've seen and heard. ![]() |

Offline | Any members running the Hi-tech, would like your feedback. Thanks for the details, had a look at their site and was worried it was a little WRX-drain pipe'ish, seems not. Especially if you say its quieter than stock ! Next time I'm in Sydney i'll stop by and see them. Good luck with the H.K. retro fit. If you haven't already, have a look at a UK site, they seem pretty switched on for after market hifi stuff, might be a cheaper alternative: http://newministuff.co.uk |
