Boo's Drive Route Wins

The Classic MINI Garage Drive will start with a breakfast briefing at Moltofino on The Strand in Dee Why before heading off on a route that will finally see us finish our drive at Riverside Oaks at Cattai for lunch.

The June 17 reccy has helped us plan the July 13 Drive and prepare the drive paks which will be handed out at the breakfast briefing. Drive Paks include maps of the proposed route, pics of turnoffs and landmarks, Indemnity Insurance and some KMS Haircare products and MINI goodies compliments of MINI Australia.

Early Bird Registration: NOW CLOSED Register for the drive by June 30 to go into the prize draw for a ticket for two to attend the Gala Premiere for 'THE ITALIAN JOB' on August 11 valued at $150.00. The draw will be done at the Drive lunch.

FEES (paid at the briefing):
Drive fee: $20 per car (to cover the costs of Drive Paks and Indemnity Insurance).
National Parks and Wildlife Service: $10

DETAILS:

Drive: Sunday July 13

Start Venue: Moltofino, The Strand Dee Why (Breakfast Buffet $13.50 incl. coffee).

Time: Breakfast from 7.00am, Briefing at 7.45 leave by 8.30am

Lunch: Barb-B-Q ($23ph incl. a drink) Riverside Oaks. Special MINI Parking.

Arrive back in Sydney: approx 5pm

Route: All roads lead to Cattai. Starting in Dee Why the drive will take us along Sydney's Northern Beaches and into some of our fantastic National Parks. We will visit the magnificant West Head where you will experience one of the best panorama's you are ever likley to witness. We then follow rivers and bays before crossing Brooklyn Bridge and winding our way up to Peats Ridge via Gosford and Somersby. From there we head down to Wisemans Ferry to catch the car ferry across the Hawkesbury River then up the mountain drive to Riverside Oaks in Cattai. From there it's a straight run home (after lunch) down Windsor Road to the M2.

Darryl and Suzanne have organised a bar-b-q lunch for us at Riverside Oaks on our July 13 MINI Drive. Special parking arrangements for the MCS/MC's has also been arranged.

A special thanks to both Darryl and Suzanne.

Is your MCS/MC a potential movie star?

Plans are underway to produce a MINI publicity movie of our MINI Drive on July 13. The Movie will be shown at the Gala Premieres of THE ITALIAN JOB in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Make sure you register for the drive before June 30 for an entry in the draw for two free tickets (value at $150) to attend the Sydney Gala Premiere of THE ITALIAN JOB in Sydney.

After returning last night from the reccy all I can say is "be there for the Official Drive Day on July 13".

Great scenery, terrific company and better still I'd suggest the vast bulk of North of the CBD's entertaining corners all in one day.

Big thanks to City Clinic and Boo for putting up with me in the PRB yesterday (Suze pinched the S before I could grab the keys yesterday morning ) I had the best time!!

Don't worry erichui, with the amount of corners and the number of MINI's anticipated to attend this run, Mum's Austin 1800 could keep up.

Reccy Feedback

Boo's suggested run is fantastic. Anyone who enjoys driving will be impressed with this MINI Drive. The views from some of the pitstops are amazing. I had such a great time I did the run again today. Had to go back and take a couple of location and landmark pics that I missed because I was having so much fun chasing darryl's PRB yesterday that I forgot about reccy duties.

Special thanks to Boo, Mrs Boo, Darryl, Suzanne and Clare from Riverside Oaks (our lunch hosts for the July MINI Drive) for a great day out.

Vito and Joe from Moltofino on The Strand at Dee Why will be hosting our breakfast briefing. Vito, who makes a great coffee, has promised a breakfast buffet that will easily keep us going until lunch at Riverside Oaks.

We will be posting more details shortly.

Win Two Free Tickets to the 'THE ITALIAN JOB' Premiere when you attend our MINI2 Drive on July 13 by Registering for the drive before June 30. Value $150.00.

Pic: Moltofino on The Strand at Dee Why. What a great way to start our MINI Drive ... magnificant ocean views across the Dee Why Reserve, great coffee, great food, a street full of MINI's, say no more.

We have 30 MCS/MC's confirmed so far for the Drive. With three weeks until fun day this will be even bigger than the our last MINI Drive.

We still need some more nominations for lead drivers on the day. Lead Drivers are responsible for up to 6 MINI Drivers in their group reaching the pit stops along the drive. Not much to it really. It's just a lot easier to keep the communications going between smaller groups rather than trying to talk to 30 or 40 MINI's at a time.

Golfers: Anybody who would like a round of golf at Riverside Oaks will be able to get in 9 holes after lunch (start at 2.30pm). Contact me at brad.robinson@mini2.com.au with your details.

Looking good guys

I should easily have 2000kms on the clock by the time the big day rolls around and we all know what that means

Again thanks to all of you for investing your time for our benefit. If this drive is like the last, it will be well worth the wait

Haven't hit the limiter yet but there's another orange light that seems to be flashing a lot more these days
