Yet another great drive...thanks everyone for making it a great day!

Now that many of you have heard more details about the club, I hope that you're all really enthusiastic about it and embrace the concept, as it is the best way we can have more great days like today, as well as many other enjoyable days.

Thanks to our sponsors today, and Brad for organising everything...where would we be without you?! And thanks Nick and Liam for the pics...very nice...I also like how my car stars in the first two quite nicely...

It was also great to see many new faces who weren't there at the May drive. Hope to see you all again in September and at other club events.

oh yeah, Tim and Wes, did they get your orders right at Krispy Kreme? how long did you wait? if you guys are going again, give us a buzz!

Where have I been for all these months?

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ORGANISE MINI DRIVE DAY JULY 13TH! Big thank you to CityClinic Brad, it was great to meet you!!! I had so much fun, it was the first drive day ive been to with my own mini and im definitely going to everyone after this one, even if it means skipping work everytime! *I skipped work today* hehehe, not a sickie tho, just swapped shifts with a colleague so i wouldnt miss out. Ive got some nice pics too I'll put that up once I load them on my comp and figure out how to do it! I was so exhausted after the day and im sure my poor little 85kw engine was too- trying to follow my fellow 24x120kw coopers with their supercharged engine! Bit of a pity about the way back home tho... I LOST MY WAY! Took the long way home... almost 2 hrs!
It was great to meet everyone! Ps-Any sponsors wanna sponsor me to do up my car? Donations? Anyone? Hehe... just kidding!
Ps- LADIES DAY LADIES DAY LADIES DAY!!! (No males wearing skirts please!)

Mini's go Mad on the northern beaches

On behalf of Trish and I, we just want to say thanks to EVERYONE for another splendid day out yesterday.

We were a little apprehensive before the run as we "poms" had been designated as a lead driver and we admit our "knowledge" of sydney isn't the best (but still better than the average sydney cabbie!).

But in the end we shouldn't have worried because thanks to the organisers wonderful effort on the "reccy sheet" which came complete with photos of every major road intersection, myself and trish managed to survive the day, the added bonus was I don't *think* we lost any of the RED team along the way and more importantly our marriage survived the day intact. Other journeys myself and trish have endured would make WorldWar3 look like a picnic!.

For anyone in sydney who didn't make it along to the drive, I really do suggest you get a copy of the route, it was a wonderful day out, and if like us you get a plethora of relatives visit each year and your always stuck for ideas on where to take them for a taste of the 'real' sydney, this is a wonderful day out, and has wonderful views to boot (see picture attached).

I guess most of us this evening will be giving our Mini's a good wash, checking the oil levels, and possibly considering swapping our tyres front to rear after scrubbing a good few milimetres off of the tread on our tyres.

Al, Trish and MINNY.

Unhappy now i'm even more jealous...

seeing all the photos & reading all the reports makes me even sadder that i couldn't make it

but i love Al's idea regarding the reccy sheet... would be great to be able to cover the route myself one weekend!

so Brad... any way to get our hands on a copy of the route directions / reccy sheet? was it ever in a digital format that would lend itself to email or putting up for download! ...or do you have spare copies you'd be happy to send out? [for $ of course]

next best bet would be getting a copy from someone who actually got to go...? i'll pay!

how did the professional video go Brad? ...will it ever be available for download, or just for the Gala premiere!

anyways... thanks for making me so jealous, i'll DEFINITELY be there in september [& every time therafter]!

Black Cooper Thanks to everyone

What a top day!

Again thanks Brad for the huge effort. The video crew had a ball shooting the day and we will put together a video in a few weeks. Nick, if it is still cool to use some of your footage it will help us get a third shot for the edit. We will try and get all of you and your MINI's in the video and if you have that one fab digital picture from the day of you and your MINI and would like in the video, please send it to markc@idt.com.au and we will included it in the edit. Deadline for pictures will be 22-07-03. This video is being made for you and the rest of the NSW MINI2 Club as a memory of a great day with great bunch of people. We will update you soon about what format we will record the video to, VHS or DVD or maybe run a poll to see what is the most popular.

Kind regards,

Mark Cooper.

I would like to echo the comments made by others ...

Firstly, thanks to Brad and team for organising another fantastic day. The reccy sheet was very useful (thanks Darryl) and lunch was exactly what the doctor ordered (thanks Suzanne)

Vicki had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone ... admittedly she was suffering from a slight case of motion sickness after some 'spirited' driving but I couldn't let S4Matt or IML337 get away from me could I?

We're are already looking forward to the next drive day
