Offline | Romantic mini drives.. near Bris / proposal - she said YES! Ok I have a special occasion coming up with my girlfriend and I wanted to go on a drive to a location. (No the mini isn't my girlfriend!! )Basically I need to know where you guys recommend. (within 2hrs driving of Brisbane - give or take) It doesn't have to have winding roads (but it is preferable) Also specific locations/picnic points etc.. would be helpful. A good view is essential. Thanks, Neeshil Last edited by Neeshil : Jul 7th, 2003 at 08:39 AM. |

Offline | Mount Glorious there is a lovely resturant there. SWAMOS will be able to tell you the name of the resturant. You can see Brisbane and Caloundra from there. it's about 70km from Brisbane CBD Good luck |

| MINI2 Senior | You could take her on a romantic tour down the main street of Beenleigh for a live show of pub fights and domestic violence. After taking in the display of missing teeth and broken jaws (that's just the women) you can paint one of your MINI’s panels in undercoat and place a red door on the passenger’s side before heading north to the quaint village of Woodridge. Here you can go to Centre Point Shopping Centre car park and watch the young children smash shopping trolleys and quietly share and sniff tins full of paint thinners and high octane fuels. Oh they're cute at that age. After getting your MINI off the besser blocks and purchasing a new set of S lites and run flats, it's time to head to the glorious west and the picturesque town of Ipswich where if you listen quietly you can hear the sounds of VB Commodores and XD Falcons dragging up and down Brisbane Street. Really Noooiccce mate. And if you listen really carefully you can even hear the sound of goatee beards and mullet hair cuts growing. While you’re they drop in and see Shazza and Cheryl’s flat for a quick fix. You’ve never seen a pair of chicks who can find a large vein like they can. |

Offline | Not sure how far it is from Brisbane but have you tried Hat Head National Park. We went and spent a few days out there when we were touring. It was beautiful. And arent you all sweet, with the sparkling jewels. Wish my mini would produce me a diamond!!! |

| MINI Traitor | Neeshil, If you want waterfalls and lookouts then the sothern hinterlands is the way to go. You might try the "best of all" lokouts for your proposal. ![]() Through the week it might be quiet enough. The Natural Arch is the only place I could think of with waterfalls. You could have a look at that too.But my suggestion would be over glorious to wivenhoe lookout (good in the afternoon, worked for me) for a proposal , and then back to the food with a view cafe for a coffe (as Brett posted). Then I would go up to Montville for a nice dinner, and a stay over night at one of the B&B's to bounce.... I mean rest your weary bones.Good luck, mate ![]() |

Offline | Take her out to Oriely's guest house in the Lamington National Park west of the Gold Coast. Stay in one of their Canopy Suites. See www.oreillys.com.au for more info. Or on Mt Tamborine there are two palces I recommend for Mills & Boon, Swoon and Croon, Moon in June kind of romance. One is called The Governors Retreat www.governorsretreat.com.au. They had a really good article on Getaway once, pretty swish. The other is called The Polish Place phone 5545 1603 located at 333 Main Western Road Mt Tamborine. The Polish place has views that are truely spectacular, and you stay in these little a frame chalets, girls love them, fireplaces, big fluffy doonas etc etc, I thought they were pretty nice but the by product of the romantacisim was fantastic . They are self contained so you can show her your other talents by cooking her some exotic meal with some nice wines and champagne.GO NEESHILL, GO NEESHILL!!! 02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW. You don't know the meaning of practical until you've owned a Camry! (seriously it's not a bad car though ) |
