Sponsored by MINI Garage Sydney, September's Drive will include the run through Royal National Park (RNP) that we missed out on due to flooding on our May Drive. We head south from Sydney via RNP and the coast road to Berry. From there it is a short run south to our lunch venue at Woodbyne.

We begin the drive with our traditional breakfast briefing, this time at Sydney's Oldest Licensed pub, The Lord Nelson.

We then drive through the Sydney CBD onto the Eastern Distributor to the Airport Tunnel and onto The Grande Parade to President Ave then the Princess Hwy South to Royal National Park. We want to be at Woodbyne for lunch at around 12.30pm. There are a few stages on the way which will take in some of the south coasts magnificant vistas & lush country side. At 2.30 we will head home via the fantastic mountain road to Moss Vale from Berry before getting onto the M5 for the run home.

NOTE: Due to Bridge Works at Pheasants Nest we will take the Picton turn off (via Rememberance Drive) about 11 ks from the start of the onramp from Berrima/Mittagong to the freeway. We come back on the Freeway a little further north of Pheasants Nest. This will avoid possible delays due to road works.

Maybe I'm getting old and my vision is going but I don't seem to be able to find the date in September for the drive day ... I seem to recall Sunday 21st from previous posts but I'd hate to turn up and find I got the wrong day

Irrespective of what the day is we will be there ... don't think I'll be able to make the reccy though

We will be uploading a Drive Registration Form linked from this thread at the end of the week. This will allow us to register all attendees, vehicles and passengers and collect Drive and Insurance fees etc. making the traditional Breakfast Briefing more efficient.

In addition, we have introduced our new Partner a MINI Owner Program to this Drive to encourage participation from MINI2.com members and guests who have ordered their MINI and not yet taken delivery or are thinking of ordering, to join us.

We finally found enough time to do the reccy today and what a great drive it turned out to be. The run up the mountain to Moss Vale from Berry is outstanding ... definately one of the best legs of the Drive. The run through Royal National Park is as good as ever and the coast road is also excellent. Unfortunately the road around Coal Cliff is still closed so we had to go down Bulli Pass. Hopefully the road will be open by September 21st.

MINI Garage Sydney booked 25 spots for their owners today. Due to the lunch venue we have to limit this Drive to 50 MINI's. We are already up to 42 and we haven't done a mailing/email to everybody yet. We are due to send out invitations Monday August 25 so if anybody wants to gaurantee a spot reply now.

I think we've got everybody who has replied to this thread however you better check the attendee list just to make sure. We have moved all details related to the Drive to post #1
