Offline | Mini UTE??!!! While I was flying from Camden airport today, I spotted something really interesting in the hanger of Airborne Aviation http://www.airborne-aviation.com.au There were two PS Mini Coopers undergoing a major operation to become utes. These vehicles are to be used as Red Bull promotional vehicles. See what you think, maybe if us Aussies like it enough we can convince Mini to introduce a ute to the product range ![]() Photos of the work in progress: Where have I been for all these months? |

| Trained Monkey | Cool photos! Try a quick search for redbull, or red bull, you will see the finished articles on here somewhere! Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | When I was at the same hanger a few weeks before, there were actually 3 Minis. So expect to see 3 Red Bull Mini Utes hitting the streets of Sydney soon! They are all PS CVT Coopers, so far they still have the stock 15" wheels, not sure if this will change. Also, it's pretty much certain that Red Bull will absolutely destroy the look of the car by putting one of their ridiculously large cans on top of the Mini. You might notice that the photos show mounting points for a can, so it's probably going to be mounted diagonally. Where have I been for all these months? |

Offline | Thanks Paul! I had a feeling that it's been done elsewhere...but I guess these must be the first in Australia! It's also interesting looking at the way they've been cut apart/rebuilt. Where have I been for all these months? |

Offline | Red Bull is now a sponsor of MINI2 Clubs. Thanks to jaydubs investigative nature, he gave us the idea to approach them as a potential sponsor for MINI2 NSW and eventually nationally. As at 3.30 this afternoon (Tues Aug 19) we have entered an initial arrangement which, if successful, will see Red Bull as a regular sponsor for MINI2 Clubs. Red Bull will be guest speakers at the Breakfast for our September Drive. There will now be no excuses for feeling a little jaded about getting up early for our breakfast briefing. A Red Bull or two and you will have wings. Read about it on our News Page |
