| MINI2 Senior | Racing MINIs Hi all, there will be two new MINIs racing around Willowbank Raceway this Saturday August 23. Should be good fun watching themhurtling around the track at a great rate of knots if anywants to see MINIs kick the butts of boy racers. Last edited by AussieMini : Aug 21st, 2003 at 10:01 PM. |

Offline | The 'rules' appear to be must have helmet ........ As for license, you need to purchase a track license that is valid for a year at Queensland Raceway at $30.00 and then they attempt to put you in a group of like vehicles ....... Scary bit is the box that says "Does you vehicle have a turbo or supercharger Y/N" makes you think twice about the group you might end up with ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Oh he was serious! What was great though was watching the Turbo Nissan 200sx (import jobby) m1n130 left for dead every straight! I though the Nissan would gain on the MINI on the long runs but alas it lost substantial numbers of car lengths each time they hit the main straight. I think the young rice boy was a little more than suprised. Where are the photos from the straight m1n130? ![]() |

Offline | And finally, along the much shortened back straight ..... about 3 seconds after this photo the Charger went spinning off the track ..... Both driver and car AOK, and driver smiling quite sheepishly (As I think we all would have been ) ..... Just opened up the track a little more ![]() |

Offline | I did actually do a little more than take the roof racks off (which I might add was more from the jibs of AussieMini 'about being the only car on the track with racks', rather than about saving aerodynamics ) I brought some new tyres and wheels, some cheap 17" and Falken Azenis semi-legal track tyres, 225/45ZR17. They do scuff under the rear guard, but nothing to write home about. But the tyres, along with the wheels, transform Guzzler into a bit of a rice racer ..... totally sic' ..... just need the dice, the skirts and the music .... duff duff duff ...... |
