I'm thinking of doing all 21 laps should be good fun. Hope there will be a few slower cars there so I can feel what it's like to pass on a race track. Can't wait

Best news is a set of brake pads are only $120 from Brisbane Mini Garage. So it won't cost the earth if I wear them out.

Just a quick note regards the track day at Queensland Raceway Saturday 21 Sept. Willowbank is hosting the 13th Fast Fours Jamboree on the Friday and Saturday (which you can check out at www.jamboree.com.au) which means there will be squillions of cars around Queensland Raceway. You may have to take the extra heavy traffic in mind for getting both to and from the track.
Whilst I have'nt been to the Jamboree before, I'm told the traffic gets a little nutso. Similarly, with the numbers going to and from, there will no doubt be plenty of radars around on the day.
Look forward to seeing everyone there.

I would actually like to be known as the MR Bean of painting. Ie, blow up a can of paint and have the whole room done in 1/10th of a second. Unfortunately, explosives are getting a little hard to come by these days. I can't see me explaining to the police that the 44 gal drum of fertiliser I purchased was just to make my 100sq m of back yard nice and green

Brett, I think there are still one or two non-drivers.

BTW, I have put together a cheap but solid in-car video mount. I'll be trying out on Saturday. If it doesn't vibrate to much, it'll only cost you $20 to make. You never know, if my mini boom mic fits, we may even have in car commentary.

I'll be there Brett and I will not be driving. I'm happy to play with anyones cameras if they have not bolted them into a MINI.

I took the bull bar off last week because I'm leaving on friday, and wouldn't have had time to remove it after work Thursday night.

Howdy All,

Saturday's game plan ........

10.00am Meet a McDonalds at Goodna, take the Church Street exit of the Ipswich Motorway
11.00am Arrive at Queensland Raceway (traffic permitting)

We will probably be on the track at around 12.30 if last time is anything to go by. Don't forget to dress in long trousers and a long sleeve shirt, preferably cotton. Bring some water with you cause you will probably need it, you can buy some at the track on the day.

No, Goodna is pretty much immediately after the end of the Logan motorway, on which you'll travel from the G.C.

I've got 3 extras with me on the day, any of which I am sure would do the honours filming. We are planning on getting there around 10:30 - 11:00 (dark grey MCS). Will probably see everyone in the carpark unless someone gets in early to get a covered bay for the day.
The covered areas are first in best dressed. We have had 2 cars per bay before so if there are spaces, park one car per bay, then others can double up as they arrive.
See you there tomorrow.

You don't know the meaning of practical until you've owned a Camry! (seriously it's not a bad car though )
