I am contemplating on changing my tyres as a friend has referred me to a good deal.

How many people have 205/55/16 on their car? If so, are they the widest tyres recommended? Please throw out any comments.

BTW how does $100 each (has done 2-3 laps at Wakefield) sound. They are Bridgestone semi slicks I think. I have to check the actual details...

Howdy Tigger, Can't help much on the 16" side of things, but can suggest some pretty reasonable 17" wheels and tyres. Guzzler and I went on a track day recently and decided to get some new feet at the last minute. I got hold of a set of Falken Azenis 215/45/R17 and a set of 17" Speedy Wheels for about $2,200 for the lot fitted. I don't know if this is good bad or indifferent, but I ordered them at 2.00pm on a Friday afternoon had them fitted by 5.30pm and was driving on them the next day, so I can't complain too much
