Mini upset

It is with deep regret that I announce that some inconsiderate so and so (I'm trying to be polite) has crashed into our car (this is AFOUR writing on behalf of a shell shocked DFOUR). The damage was minimal until the unamed male went into road rage mode , jumped on the bonnet and left his knee marks and the subsequent dent behind. Some consolation - he has been charged with Malicious damange and will appear in court shortly. Insurance company was most sympathetic, and the police most helpful after throwing him in the back of the paddy wagon to take him away.

I am very proud to say that DFOUR contained his rage (too shellshocked), don't know that I would have been as calm.

Car goes in for repair on Monday and hopefully will be back as new by our drive on Sunday 21st.

Might get the bonnet stripes quicker than we thought

Regards

AFOUR for DFOUR

It's bad enough being in an accident; having some halfwit then attack your car must be very unnerving.
Congratulations to DFOUR for maintaining his composure.
Hope the car is soon back to normal.

Angry

you've got his address for insurance purposes haven't you!?!

maybe we can have a premature, early september, late night, balaclava-clad, baseball-bat-wielding, run to his house!

so... anyone in for a group-buy on balaclavas!

but seriously, my condolences... a work colleague spent 3 months in intensive care with a fractured pelvis after he totalled his '95 911 on the M4 while being chased by a road-raging nutter in a 4WD! ...& i s'pose dents are better than broken bones!

w4nkers!

And if it was Texas, you would empty a clip from your AK47 into him, pausing only to put in a fresh clip..

Hope you are feeling OK Dave, that must have been a pretty nasty experience

Unfortunately most of us think everyone else on the roads are like minded sane individuals ... the reality is often the complete reverse ... there are some right lunatics out there and it looks like you had the bad luck to encounter one

Qudos to you for maintaining your composure if someone decided to try and jump on my car I doubt that I would not react in a 'negative fashion'

Really hope that the MINI is back in shape for the drive day

Question hmmmmm.........

that's not the same XR6 i flogged away from the lights last night was it?

i must say far too many falcon owners forget just how much their cars weigh - tut, tut!

painting the roof white & fitting some stripes might just get you in on the day!

I would have simply got out of my car and knocked his head clean off his shoulders! But then again I like MrMow's AK47 scenario too.

As an American who doesn't own a gun, I take great offence to the implication that we're a bunch of gun wielding loonies, who would only pause to put in a fresh clip.

More often, we're double loaded--we're actually pausing to grab the other AK47.

Occassionally, we pause to see if they're still twitching.

Sometimes we pause to pull out the .357, and say "Are you feeling lucky, Punk? Was it five bullets or six?"

However, in Texas, they're not likely to pull out an AK. You're more likely to get a load of buckshot in your happy little @ss, either that or a face full of 30 ought 6. AK's are a more urban, Miami kind of thing.

=============

Seriously, sorry to hear about your troubles, A&Dfour. Hope all is well with both of you, glad you got out of the situation safely, and and hope the MINI and both of you recover just as soon as possible.

Just wondering if anyone in the US has managed to put a gun rack in a MINI??

Someone backed into my car a few weeks back, would have been handy

That would be quite a unique mod maybe that guy that wanted the confederate flag roof decal?

The stupid thing about this whole thing is there was stuff all damage to both cars before he put his knee and hip into my bonnet , but the idiot just keep shouting do'nt move the cars, do,nt move the cars. The law here is NSW. states that if the cars do not require towing or nobody is injuried . You move the cars off the road to allow traffic to flow and exchange details. TOTAL LOSER may the force be with him, right up thr a**, with a number 11 steel capped boot that I just happened to have on at the time.

sorry to hear that some pyscho hit and then jumped on ur car...i would certainly not have reacted in such a controlled manner if it happened to me - hear hear for the boot up the @ss! speaking of pyschos on the road, i was driving behind one of my friends in a civic vti-r the other day and he indicated and overtook a guy who just went spastic and started gesticulating and swearing at him. we just kept going, ignoring the idiot and he started to rummage around in his car for something....finally he produced a spanner and waved it around wildly....we just kept driving but then he threw the spanner at my friend's car - fortunately the spanner missed his car but ALMOST hit my car. oh well we lost the idiot after a while...lucky we're not in america or the guy probably would have pulled a gun on us!

Where I come from, we call that a Chicago Police Department "Hello!" When administered repeatedly, it has a beneficial effect on the attitude of miscreants with chips on their shoulders and/or ***** for brains.

We're not all gun-wielding idiots. Occasionally, we get the spanner wielding idiots, too.
