Hi,

Good luck!

The mini is a great car for motorkhanas! Pump up those rear tyres and get the handbrake working. Just remember to switch of the DSC (easy to forget in the excitement).

Study the courses well. I am sure you know the consequences if you dont! There is nothing worse than going flat out half way round the course and being lost!

Hope you go well, and surprise a few people. The mini is amazingly good for a stock street car for motorkhanas. Also I will be interested to see the difference between the Cooper and the JCW S. It will vary with the course, but for some will be surprisingly small.

Bad news is it's not an S. This is the yellow one from the menu bar of the Targa Tassie site. The other problem is that he's comprehensively whipped me in every event we've come up against each other (3 events so far).

What makes this event even harder is it's one run at each test, so if you screw up, the time counts.

Thanks for your support guys, and hopefully we can see a Mini take out class C!

We both fluffed it. I took out about 8 pegs during the day, costing me 40 seconds in penalties. Ended up about 40th.

Craig did reasonably, although he also made some mistakes, and had alot of problems with gear selection. He came 3rd in class.

Will post results as they become available. I have some good in car footage, but it's currently 46Mb worth - so chances are you won't see that!

Bummer!

One go at each course is very tough. However, I guess that is what championships are all about.
Hope you still had fun!

Hi all,

Here are the results. Classic Minis in class A, new Minis in class C. Most impressive on the day was Graham Van der Hoek in a Ralliart Magna. He was matching the times of the Minis.

If I finish the editing some time soon, I might even have a DVD of the in car footage by the Tassie run.
