United-Kingdom Happy Birthday MINNY

So a big happy 1st birthday today goes to my beloved MINNY, I can't believe it's already a year since I picked her up from Alto Artarmon, and in that year we've had some great times in the 11k kilometers we've spent together.

The highlights of course have to include meeting up with all her friends on the Mini Drive Days (particularly the July run upto Wisemans Ferry) and going to the Italian Job Premiere at Fox Studios.

MINNY certainly has been loved and cherished in her first year with Daddy buying her the new alloy-look pedals (she's a July 02 Build so pre-dates the new pedals) and also what we affectionately call "her pyjamas" as MINNY has the official Mini Car Cover to keep her snug/warm in the carpark at our unit (and more importantly away from all the dust and prying eyes!).

In return, MINNY has been pretty good to us, admittedly we don't drive her everyday so the mileage is low, and once we got the initial boot rattle and steering column clicks fixed, she's only been back to BMW once to get the wheels swapped front to rear to assist with the tyre wear.

All up, very happy parents, very happy MINNY, here's to more pleasureable days and kilometers ahead.

The next year, well she'll be up for her first BMW service check and MINNY's definitely looking forward to the Tasmania Trip and if she's really really good she maybe getting a "performance boost" for her 2nd birthday (when the BMW warrranty expires).

Happy Birthday MINNY

Happy Birthday Minny. So are you having a party?

SMURFN is having its first birthday soon, and will be getting the bonnet stripes and 4 driving lights for its birthday.

I was all set for getting MINNY a few birthday presents then unfortunately came the bill for

- CTP
- Rego
- Car Insurance.

paying all that in one month certainly dents the wallet -- and I fink it's particularly pants that BMW insurance don't (currently) offer a Direct Debit payment option.

here, here... I agree on the Direct Debt option. Its one big slug that makes other insurance look inviting.

Happy Birthday Minny!

We got a rear spoiler and clear side indicators for a first brithday present, nearly got a free set clear back lights thanks to a BMW balls up (box left on the back seat).

BRG/W Cooper, 17" S-spoke, Rear Spoiler ++ with more to come...

Happy Birthday to MINNY - my car also turned 1 on Oct 11. Unfortunately it spent it's special day alone, four levels down in an underground car park in a back street of St Leonards, while I am overseas. I'll be home in a week and I CAN'T WAIT to get back into the thing - if it starts, that is (5 weeks is a long time to not be used!)

My MINI has been quite good to me also. It's had problems, but most of them have been known issues, and the dealer has been relatively good about it. These issues have been far outweighed by the enjoyment I have gained from driving it like a maniac though!

Cheers,
Tim

I got a present too - a $1200 REDUCTION in the insurance premuim - how cool is that!
