Dutton Rally = No Minis

I have entered the NSW Dutton Rally
in my Lancia Delta Integrale
I am disappointed no minis have entered
The event would be well suited to oour Cooper S
Includes Eastern Creek,Skidpans,Hillclimbs,Wakefield Park
Canberra Police Driver Centre,Motkhanas etc.
Held over Friday sat & sun(october 17 - 19)
I think the website is Duttonrally.com.au
Come on you cyber junkies turn the key & beat the Integrale

Dutton Rally

I saw a JCW MCS in the Victorian Dutton Rally that did really well.

It was surprising to see how many bigger, high powered and more expensive machinery it was ahead of (i'm sure the owners of those cars were surprised too!).

It would be good to see a NSW MINI in there to wave the flag...

Hi,

I would have been in it for sure if I knew it was on.

Too late for me now, as I am committed to work on the friday. I also would have gone in the East coast rally if I knew it existed.

Where do you find out about these kind of events?

I am very interested in going in some of these, but it seems I only hear about them when it is too late.

I dont see any ads in any of the car magazines I read, and nothing from the BMW club. Nothing in my cams newsletters either! It seems I am completely out of the loop. The only ad I have seen is for the Grand Prix / Trading post rally, which I am considering entering.

Good luck with the Lancia! Nice car.

Rally info

Robbo,

The info on these rallies does seem hard to get until you start doing them. Once you have done one you seem to get all kinds of info sent to you.

I have done 6 Grand Prix rallies and 3 Dutton Rallies. They are a blast and the opportunity to use your car to it's full potential is great. You don't need a roll cage for these two events just a CAMS approved first aid kit, fire extinguisher and a helmet. The basic CAMS liscense is enough for these events too.

Check www.dutton.rally.com.au (for either the Vic or NSW rally) and the Grand Prix Rally site can be accessed through the Australian F1GP website.

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

I think the GP rally would be a perfect opportunity for me to debut! I will look into it further.

Also, if possible I will try and get out to the Dutton Rally and check things out
