Offline | Queensland Raceway - Saturday October 18 Howdy All, It is that time again! The next Queensland Raceway Saturday Afternoon Sprint is Saturday 18th October. We will be aiming for 6 to 8 MINI's again with a view to getting us all on the track at the same time, much the same layout as last month. Once again come along, watch, participate, become someone's official video taker or professional heckler There is likely to be much less traffic this month with no other major events at Willowbank on to make the traffic interesting. Remember to wear a long sleeve shirt and long trousers, no thongs, bikini's or leopard print g-strings (AussieMini excepted ), save that for pit lane ![]() We are going to try to get a garage this time around (we tried this last time but turned out to be a bit difficult on the day), the cost will work out at about $35 per vehicle and will basically be a dumping ground for spare tyres, kenhenry's large lunch box and any other bits and bobs you don't want flying around the inside of your MINI whilst on the track. If nothing else it is somewhere to get out of the Sun Thus, let me know if you are coming and would like a spot under cover ![]() The costs for the day are as follows: $30.00 - Track License, good for 12 months at QR only. $40.00 - First 7 laps $25.00 - Second 7 Laps Third set of 7 laps are free. Those that paid for their license last time need not purchase another this time around. Timings are as follows: October 18th 11.30 - Sign On 12.00 - Safety Brief 1.00 - On Track, depending on numbers driving Come along, have a go, or just watch. It is certainly a lot of fun For more information go to www.queenslandraceway.com.au |

Offline | Your right swamos, not a pretty sight, but maybe after Tuesday's jump suit, he's switching sides. BTW, it would be good to have you out at QR, even if you don't drive. |

Offline | I just found out it's not the Supercharger thats gives Cooper S Guys the advantage it is the 17" tyres. Since fitting them i've managed to get a bit more speed out of my otherwise Cooper ![]() 1968 Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1310cc Downton Lake Green - White 1974 Leyland Mini 1098c Country Cream 2008 MINI Cooper S Chilli Pepper White - Black Roof |

Offline | Yeah, a set of Performance 16x7 alloys (very similar to what was already on the car - look great actually) and a set of 205/50/16 Azenis. Whole lot came to an amazing $1500-00 even ![]() Had thought of going to the 225's but I think I would probably get a fair bit of scrub. Can't wait to try them out.... |

Offline | Evil, Whoa! What happened to my text size? We've got to start talking like a club. I should have got to you sooner. I was in the process of trying to see if I could organise a group buy on track tyres today and was then going to put the word out. Where did you get the tyres from and how much for the tyres alone? I've been looking at: Yokohama A032R Falken RT215 Dunlop formula R D01J S Toyo Proxes RA1 I feel that the Dunlops maybe the best tyre out of the bunch, but I am still waiting on prices. It turns out that Qld Raceway is the Dunlop Motorsport distributor in Qld and the dealers purchase from them. It might work out cheaper if we can organise directly with QR, especially since the club has CAMS affiliation. Also, word has it that Pirelli is just about to release a R compound track tyre that may also be suitable. Sorry, I didn't get to you before you bought. |
