Offline | Hi, That is bad luck. Retreads on trucks should be illegal (like they are in most european countries). Trucks travelling at high speed carrying 20-40 tonnes should not be riding on retreads! My father in law and my brother in law are both truckies. They never use retreads as they say they are completely unsafe, and also believe it does not save them money in the long run. Most "reputable" national companies have policy of not using them. When I am on the freeway I give the semis as wide a berth as possible. Hope the car is fixed as good as new Robbo |

Offline | Yeah , I thought (and still am thinking) of a few things in the grill side. After a good nights sleep the damage still ****s me even though it is not huge (but the panel beaters are saying 4 days and in excess of $2500) , the matter ****s me as the retreads litter the roads and it is a matter of time till this happens again. *rant over* MCS Silver/Black |

Offline | What is now worse is that I will have to pull out of the session at QR this weekend. The guys from the panel shop have been able to fit me in with a loaner mini if I head in tomorrow , but I will not have her back till next week. Will try and head out to watch all you guys have some fun!!! MCS Silver/Black Last edited by tm75tm : Oct 14th, 2003 at 09:01 PM. |

Offline | That could be why Motorline are now charging $25 a day for loan cars... they have to recover the cost of those run flats somehow I guess... maybe they just want to lose all their customers. ![]() Last edited by cjay : Oct 14th, 2003 at 10:29 AM. |

Offline | Really the only reason why i go there for services is that it used to be free to get a loaner tm75tm, sorry to hear about you baby getting hurt, I know how it feels it maybe small and insignificant to others but its really big when its your car that is damaged |
