Offline | MINI's for Events. April 17 & Anzac Weekend - Posts 30 & 31 MINI.CLUBS has been receiving a number of requests lately for Members MINI's to be used in events i.e. Weddings, High School Formals. Photo Shoots, Promotions etc. If there are members who are willing to participate in these activities, obviously with reasonable notice please contact admin@miniclubs.com.au with your details. We will then keep a register and contact you with details as enquiries come through. Obviously these types of activities are voluntary and in some instances you would need to alert your insurance company that you were participating. We will use this thread to post enquiries. Offline | Sydney - November 2004 Wedding Whilst it is a long way off we have a request for three (3) MINI's for 3.30pm - 6.30pm November 13th 2004 in Sydney. They would like at least one CB/W or B2/W in the three. As this is a wedding they would like to have this part of their preparation confirmed asap. Contact brad.robinson@mini2.com.au if you would like to participate. |

Offline | Thanks Stephen, We are making it clear it is voluntary and that owners should discuss with their insurance company prior accepting any event. I don't hear the patter of little feet .... isn't there a new arrival about due? |

Offline | Thanks Tim, There seems to be some interest in participating in these types of activities and we are starting to get a bit of enquiry so we may as well find out whose interested and start a register to save time recruiting. |

Offline | I would suggest that people don't just jump in and volunteer UNLESS they are prepared to show up on the day. And that may be way off in a year's time. If you say you are going to be in, then there should be nothing apart from your own personal exit from this planet that will keep you from fulfilling your promise to make someone's day absolutely special. Soccer training, trips overseas, root canal work are not valid excuses. |

Offline | I think there's a difference between "putting yourself on the list" and committing to an actual event! I guess the idea is to have a list with a bunch of people on it, and when someone approaches the club with a date for an event, ask the list who is available on that date, before going back to the person asking for the cars with a "yes" or "no" answer...? Is that what you had in mind Brad? |

Offline | Pretty close Tim, Once enquiries like these start and we begin to particiapte word gets around pretty quick. We need to have a register of MINI owners who are interested so that we can respond relatively quickly. Whilst we will post an enquiry to the forums, waiting for a response may take time and some enquiries require a quick response .... example need a BRG/BRG MINI for a commercial shooting next week in Newcastle. Terms excellent ... it's ok we had a BRG/BRG MINI on the register so it got the job. ![]() |

Offline | Harry i stayed in Tumut Motor Inn right in the middle of town only last Tuesday, rooms are good, service was a bit sour, cost was $90 a room. but their restaurant was closed, We went to oen of the Hotels around the corner (in the other main street) to their Bistro and had a very good meal there. no idea of its name but it was about 100 metres up Wynyard street on th left from the Snowy Mtns Hwy. I liked the look of the The Tumut Valley View Motel which was about 2 k out of town on the Snowy Mtns Hwy heading towards Talbingo, perhaps you could try this one and give us a report, it should have a restaurant provided it is open, would save driving into town for a meal. I have had some discussion with Brad about a possible MINI drive through the Snowy Mtns, the loop from Cooma to Tumut via the Snowy mtns Hwy then up to Batlow and Tumbarumba, then over the Elliott Way to Cabramurra, down to the Alpine Way near Khancoban and back to Cooma via Thredbo and Jindayne is a CRACKER, the best MINI roads anywhere and now all sealed. Let us know what you think, not staying in Canberra for the Summer Nats?? Vic |
