See Comments and Pics Page 6 "THE INAUGURAL CANBERRA CLASSIC RUN" "The Canberra Classic" will be an annual event held each year on the last weekend in February. Sponsored by: Rolfe Classic MINI Garage, MINI Australia, Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Heritage Fine Wines, BP Australia and KMS Haircare, this run presents a great opportunity for NSW and ACT owners to meet and drive some of our great coastal and mountain roads over two days. Code: Saturday. 08.00 Sydney contingent meet at BP Campbelltown (Cnr Blaxland & Campbelltown Rds) 08.30 Depart for Berrima 09.00 Breakfast (optional) starting from 9am. 10.00 Morning briefing: Berrima, The Cottage 10.30 Depart: Berrima for Batemans Bay via Nowra 183ks 2.5hrs 13.30 Arrive: Corrigans Cove Restaurant 15.30 Depart: Batemans Bay for Canberra 148ks 2.5hrs 19.30 Dinner and Accommodation - Hyatt Hotel Canberra Sunday 08.00 Breakfast - Hyatt Hotel Canberra 09.00 Meet Canberra Owners - Hotel Car Park (Activities TBC) 11.00 Depart: Canberra for Bowral via Bungendore 187ks 2.5hrs 13.30 Arrive: Bowral - Lunch The Briars 15.30+ Depart Bowral for: Sydney 112ks 1.5hrs Canberra 170ks 2.0hrs Note: Point to point times include occasional stops and take into consideration mountain roads and other windy road sections. For those who can't make the overnight trip there are one day options for both NSW and ACT owners. Please indicate the option (see below) you would like in your reply. Offline | I'll be there of course with Barbara for Dinner. I'll confirm Sat lunch numbers depending where you stop and if I've met up with the convoy (highly likely). I'll have to drive up the coast to meet you coming down the coast so I can then drive up those fantastic roads which I would have driven down so I can come home (you with me so far). Can you post a price for those Canberrans who don't use the accomodation component .....unless they want to have one or two sherbets with dinner and stay the night. ![]() |

Offline | The weekend would be perfect for you to run the new MC in. Lots of differing conditions to get the vehicle run in to your way of driving. I believe the official run in period is 1500 k's. This trip will do half of that in one weekend. Hope we see you there. Regards Brad |
