Offline | Hmmm... shame really. The other guys seem quite straight forward. I am puzzled as to why there is not an "in car" pulley puller among the whole lot of them in Sydney though? Is there really such a low call for pulley changes here compared to elsewhere? And these pullers are now just $200 or so from many online shops in the US and UK. Instead we ship one in from Vic each time each time at $95 a pop or as part of a package... something doesn't make sense? |

Offline | Whats the Hartge kit worth to start with? Cause that 1000 bucks for an extra 35HP over your 215 kit, makes the JCW 37HP seem massively overpriced at 10 grand... ![]() |

Offline | Hartge upgrade Trelo, What are the upgraded components of the Hartge package? A big valve head and new blower? An extra 30hp for $1000 is great value. Offline | mmm ... I think I would also save a few extra pennies to pay for the replacement drive train I would be waiting to see a few other people take the plunge and see how the the gear box holds up, from memory I think 250bhp is getting very close to the upper tolerance of the MCS standard box ... that might make the upgrade a little more expensive ![]() |

Offline | Hi, Chris will have to start charging more for his spuds! It looks interesting, and I would like to find out more details of exactly what the upgrade involves. Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | Supercharged AND turbo? Is that possible? I think they tried the same thing back in the late 70's / early 80's with the Mercedes Sauber racing C9 TS. I thought they negated each other when ran in parallel, or rather, provided no benefit over one or the other... That was a long time ago I guess. |

Offline | But again, they arent run together - the Micra Super Turbo, as it was called, used a Supercharger to wind the revs up, and then the turbo charger to complete the overall charge. EXTREMELY complicated and never sound. Not to mention that because they arent run together, the transition between the two is very jerky, also stressful on components. This is twincharging. Im no engineer or mechanic, but as far as I know it doesnt work too well. If it did, Im sure it would be used alot more often... ![]() |
