Hi Guys,

Events O'Neill is running a skid pan practice day at Eastern Creek Raceway on Thursday 19th Feb for competitors in this years Grand Prix Rally. The cost is $250.00 per car (includes driver, navigator and support team) and runs from 830am to 500pm on both a wet and dry skid pan.

Three 2003 track layouts will be used for practice and all participants will have access to these layouts prior, as well as their lap times on a big screen. Instruction will be available at no extra charge. The day is open to current competitors as well as those wishing to compete in the future but will also be limited in total numbers.

The event has the full support from the GP Rally organisers Octagon Australia and 'track side support' will be available to all participants.

That practice is for 2004 GP Rally entrants, therefore you haven't missed anything this time, Boo.. Are you going to be a starter for the 2005 Grand Prix Rally. Seems like there could be a few of us who might like to get involved.

Hi Eltel,

I am hoping to do the East Coast Rally and the Dutton Rally (NSW) this year, and hopefully the GP rally 2005

By the way, LukeO is organising some "Events O'Neill / Burrows drive days" in Melbourne this year at Sandown. Should be a great day. He is planning to organise car transport for a load of Sydneysiders to come down, so hopefully I might make it. If you are interested email Luke and get him to add you to his mailing list.

Hope you do well robbo in all of the rallies. I'll send an email to Luke, sounds like a great idea. I know that a number of potential MINIClubs members would be very interested. Would also be good to see you and your car again, and listen to it tearing around some corners.

We'll all be out at Simmons Plains in Tassie doing the go fast thing... Can't wait

Lets hope that we can still take out track tyres down in the support cars (should i get some full slicks to give me an edge, that is the question

)

HI Guys,

The GP Skid Pan day has now been opened to all drivers competing in the rally or not. In particular, drivers who are considering road rallying are more than welcome to experience the types of driving skills required during rallying competition. There are only 7 places remaining for the GP Skid Pan Day on Thursday 19th Feb. Cost is $250 per car (maximum 2 drivers) and is a full day event.

ps. The Melbourne Drive Days are looking good! Am waiting to hear back form a car carrier with transport quotes and have just about confirmed a Jaguar XJ 220 to be at the track! SHould be very interesting...!!
