Offline | Let's Hear From All The Aussies! Hey guys, I was just cruising through the threads and I got to thinking that maybe there are a number of people out there who like to read some of the threads but don't post a whole lot. I am definately guilty of this and realise it's not right. I just haven't felt the urge to post on any thread. So I will start one. Who out there likes to "get lost" with their MINI? I Know that after 1 year I still love heading up into the hills, taking all the roads I don't know, heading in one direction for about 45 mins and then turning around and trying to find a different way back! Is there any better car to do it in? I mean the MINI is a car you can push and love the performance, but i still find myself so content just "cruising". You know, just driving brisk, not driving miss daisy style but not Montoya either. Tell us all about your MINI and what you love to with him/her (sposed to all be girls). Joel. |

| MINI2 Master | This is actually my first post on here, but then I only registered yesterday.... in fact I only ordered the car yesterday (subject to finance...) I've ordered a BRG/W MCS with 17" S Spokes Xenons HK Stereo would have liked to add more options, but I'm leasing it and can only add options to 10% of the RRP :-( I've been told the car SHOULD arrive in may, I think the wait is going to kill me :-( |

Offline | i know that if the 'hills' around my house contained an assortment of great vineyards like those in adelaide, then i'd probably go get lost there on a regular occasion also! worst case scenario is you spend an unplanned coupla days up with peter lehmann! ![]() however, i do find myself looking for the long way home, or just last night i went for a drive @ 11pm for no good reason! i think all would agree the MINI is truly life-changing & life-enhancing! ![]() welcome to the board Joel! |

Offline | i have to admit that being up in tamworth, that drive last night included a bit of a 'look see' into what was happening with the country music festival! suffice to say i didn't park & get out of the car! but this drunk guy in a big hat said... "smoke the mini up!'' [right out front of the police station mind you ... he's obviously never paid for run-flats! ]i also reckon they should make huge rear mud-flaps & 'no fat chicks' stickers for the mini... atleast then i might fit in a little more easily! ...tempted to get a 'real aussies drive minis' sticker though! ![]() |

Offline | Congrats Micky D! Well worth the wait, but it's the worst part, I hear it all the time, just makes your smile bigger when you take delivery. Nice car too. We don't have heaps of vinyards in the Adelaide hills but then I am originaly from the Clare Valley (120km North of Adelaide) and thats like one big vineyard! Lots of lovely winding roads, some open and wide some quite narrow. As long as I the only one on the road I am quite content. Great thing about Adelaide is you only need to drive for 20 mins and you find yourself on some b-e-a-utiful roads. If I have no time, I just take a detour on my way somewhere so i can find some roundabouts, any excuse to turn the wheel! |

Offline | Not my fault that Tamworth TV is different programming to Sydney, but fantasy island sounds pretty cool compared to the 4WD training video that i made for Bright ideas last year. Vic |
