MINI got Chipped

Last night driving along Canning Highway towards Great Eastern Highway I was tailgated by a white van man. I held a constant speed and he eventually pulled alongside and started shouting at me. He then started throwing objects at my MINI one of which came through my window and landed on my lap then bounced over to the passenger side. I took a few pics of the van then pulled over and let him go. When I inspected the car this morning in daylight I found bits of chips stuck to the outside and one large chip in the passenger door pocket.

So Perth MINI owners watch out for white van man rego 1BIB570 he will chip your car for free.

Mike I know how you feel !

I just had my car washed today after a week & a bit only to find a few unwanted new residents CHIPS - OF THE STONE VARIETY !

Id just like to thank that DEAD S**T truck driver that managed to spray the front of my car with rocks & mud on fwy the other day. I must admit that i cringed when I saw just how much damage this P#@*%K had done to the bonet , CHROME grille & even the stripes.

To that fellow road user I SAY THANK YOU ! ! !

I hate logging trucks! - maybe its the configuration of their mudguards but they're always flinging rocks at my car. First road trip I got a chip in the front thanks to one. Coming back from Thredbo a week ago I had the whole family in the car (all five of us ) a logging truck chucked a big rock at me (a big boondi for the west aussies). There was a terrific bang and a whopping big star and crack appeared in the windscreen.

There was dead silence in the car......they figured that I was going to blow my top given that I spend a lot of time on the weekends lavishing love and attention on my car (don't we all). Anyway I suprised them all - calmly I advised them thats what the BMW insurance was for - at least it didn't hit the paintwork.

Sitting here now, I just wonder is one windscreen a year in the standard BMW insurance package????? .....or did I have to take it out especially...Best I check tomorrow....DOH!!!

I hear if those chips wedge in just right, they can help your car hug the road.
