I had my first proper wave as I was heading down the Pacific Motorway from Brisbane to the Gold Coast at about 11:30 this morning. The wavee's were in an Astro Black MCS Convertible (with the roof up) heading in the same direction :P
Very energetic waves and smiles were swapped

Saw an interesting MINI Friday night parked in Lonsdale St in the city. Was a Red/White Cooper with a Cooper S exhaust system on it. Also, it had a MINI2.com sticker beneath the passengers windscreen wiper! Had chequered wing mirror caps and Union Jack rear vision mirror cap too!

Also in Werribee Saturday night saw a very nice looking Pepper White Cooper with a great set of plates..."HOTQPA"

Saturday morning driving down Chapel Street we saw Hamish Blake (of Hamish and Andy) driving a BRG Cooper. No wave was returned!!!! Did get a wave though from a guy in a Black MCS further along Chapel.

And.....Friday night we saw a MINI with an after market sunroof fitted. It looked very strange, tiny compared to the original! First time i've ever seen one fitted. Anyone else out there have a MINI with a non factory fitted roof??

Saw a bit of a rarity on Aussie roads this morning. A Velvet Red Cooper, almost brown on certain angles.
Also saw a Chili Red, plates MINICC this morn.
Saw HOTQPA again in Sth Melb the other day!!

Ahh yes, i remember now, didn't realise he had the central S exhaust though! I think he was my first official passenger!!!

Yes, its all coming back to me now.

There must have been something in the unfortunate smokeyness of that day that has affected my memory!

Hi,

I spotted an Audi R8 on the back of truck leaving the minto car compound on monday

It was a nice pale blue colour. The car looks sensational in the flesh, especially from the front and front quarter view

I know its not a mini, but it was still a pretty cool spot

They are stunning cars. I checked out one at the local Audi dealer the weekend before last. It was a LHD promo model in the country for the launch.

Mini's are multiplying like rabbits in Canberra at the moment. I followed 2 in from Queanbeyan this morning. 1 was a RG/PS Park Lane Cooper, the other a CR/W Cooper

Yeah, all in one piece, still with the clubMINI sticker on the back window. It actually looked like it may have been lowered, but I may have been seeing things.

I got a wave from another MCS driver the other week on Oxley Rd. in Brisbane, and today, late this afternoon around 4:30pm I saw a silver (i think) mini cooper behind me trying to catch up , but i turned off at the Springwood exit before he could. awwww... didn't get a change to say hi.

Also, basically every morning on the way to work on the M1 inbound (around 7:20am) I always seem to see a red mini on the other side of the freeway, not sure if it's the same one though.
