Hmmmm. That looks pretty close. At overlay, Id say the 'U' was to 'fat' in that example, and the uplift on the 'C' was a tiny bit accentuated. But I think youre right, it looks to be that font, just a variation of.

Perhaps the big-wigs here will tip us off to a bit more info

Hint-hint brad

I wouldn't be too worried about the Welcome to MINI Clubs Australia bit. It is not likely to carry very well when reduced to say fit a business card.

The primary elements are MINICLUBS and MINI Logo. There is the National Logo then each Chapter will need to be able to add an identifier example New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, etc without effecting the original integrity of the logo

Rawk has done a great job and it remains flexible so we replace Australia with each state as required.

I'm pretty sure the font you are after is "The Sans" gazah ... I imagine it unlikely that you have the font??? It is available from LucasFonts, just make sure you are sitting down if you're considering purchasing ... it designed by Lucas de Groot, he knows his stuff. I think the parent MINI logotype is based on this typeface also, however it has been customised a little.

I have access to this font, and if required, am able to refine the final three concepts before presentation to BMW.

Hi guys, the logo's are looking good. I have a font package for the MINI fonts. Just have to check with the powers that be if I can pass them out. I will come back to you tomorrow.

The official word on the MINI font package is that it is not available outside the MINI Distributor world. However, the winning submissions will first go to BMW Aus for a final look before being submitted to AG.

Just get as close as you can and that will be fine at this stage.

Hmmm. Probably right. I had the same experience with the new style Porsche font when I was building a Carrera Cup devotee site. Wouldnt have any of it - I couldnt get near the font, yet, they gave me full media access

Its just a font....

Yeah, Ive made all I'll need in flash anyway Brad, its cool.

I had trouble uploading too Brad. Apologies if you get three submissions. However, I don't think you will so I will add an entry here.

I have used the Eureka flag because it is uniquely Australian and evokes the irreverence of the MINI. Not too sure where we would stand in using the Eureka flag, but I think the theory is sound enough.

Looks good. Have posted to the Logo Comp Gallery.

I'll have to work out why there are problems uploading. If you do submit you don't see your pic immediately. It has to be checked and approved before it appears however I checked the approve screen and there weren't any pics.

Regards

Brad
