Well, it was rather sad due to the very short notice given by myself and Danny. It ended up being just CJ, Danny & myself having dinner at MacDonalds then driving to look at my new house in the dark and then having coffee and cake at Wilston Village followed by a quick cruise thorugh Harry's Diner at Newmarket. Which the later of our activities led to many comments from 16 year old girls "look it's the new MINI's, oh they're so cute" to which their bum fluff covered VL Commodore driving seventeen and a half year old boyfriends comments of "yeah, that tacho is fully sik" then we come to the very insecure "Classic Not Plastic" types which generally like our car at this venue given it's retro cues and heritage, but one rather stick like bogan with mullet that Billy Ray Cyrus would have been proud of said "how come fat c*#ts always drive these new MINI's" as he swilled his can of Jack Daniels leaning on the bonnet of his wannabe GT HO copy. I was going to say, (given the comment was directed at my portly proportions) "how come poor ugly bevan c*#ts like you always drive imitation GT HO Falcons and you'r sons or neighbours always drive VN Commodores tarted up to look like VR Clubsports?" Generally the crowd at this venue is skewed more toward the classic/muscle car, but they're all car enthusiasts just hanging out admiring each others cars and as I said the interest and appreciation shown to our car is usually excellent, especially given the general obsession with cubic inches, but this clown was an exception to the rule and my retort would have been forthcoming but his two mates who looked like Kings Cross tow truck drivers put me off and I just cruised by toward another group of 16 year old giggly girls.

If anyone in Brisbane hasn't done the Harry's thing on a Friday night it's well worth a look even if you not a car nut, there's some specatacular old cars to check out if you can get through the bum fluff and drool from the young guys.
02 MCS gone after 2 years of fun and new friends, and 10 visits to the service dept at Brisbane BMW.
You don't know the meaning of practical until you've owned a Camry! (seriously it's not a bad car though
