Offline | Easter Run NSW Central Coast There have been expressions of interest in having a run up to the Central Coast on the Easter weekend. If you are interested in the drive up or meeting on route please post on this thread. Let me know what day you would prefer by Wednesday and I can then organise some meet up points and get a general plan together. I'm sorry for the short notice but this is an informal run. Any other imput like places of intrest, places to eat, good back roads etc would be greatly appreciated. This will definatly be a Team effort. Looking forwards to hearing back from you guys and girls. |

Offline | Sounds good to me. I'm free most days, but I think Friday and Monday are a bit iffy because we'll be stuck in traffic with the rest of the holiday makers. That being said maybe that will be a good thing, because we want a leisurely drive with no speeding so we don't get into trouble. Alan, can you tame the JCW beast for just one weekend? ![]() |

Offline | Hi, I'm interested Friday is probably not good as the traffic will be terrible, and most places for lunch etc are closed. My preference would be sunday Saturday would be OK (I was going to check out the track day at EC, but I could dump that). Monday is no good for me as I am going to the BMW club track / skills day One thing to remember though, the easter weekend will be double demerits, with the boys in blue out in force , so we would have to be very careful Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | Hi, Check out the BMW club website http://www.bmwclubnsw.asn.au They run a track day around every 6 weeks. They are very well organised. The cost is usually around $150-180. The usual format is "supersprints". Cars are seeded on times, with 6-7 cars on the track at one time. This means you have a slightly faster car in front of you and a slower one behind, so traffic is rarely a problem. You do 5 hot laps per session. All are timed electronically. Instructors are available on the day. There are various classes, which make it very competitive. The cars range from full on racecars to 25 year old bangers! Anyone is welcome, and the club is very friendly. There are a few minis that participate regularily, myself, Boo, Trelo, Greendevil and Kerri from Peak Performance. The format this weekend is a little different as the morning is a skills day, which involves a timed motorkhana/slalom course, a hillclimb, and a tight short circuit. There are then full speed supersprints in the afternoon. When we went down to Winton Victoria last Chris from melbourne was there in his cooper and had a blast Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |
