Eibach springs bulk buy I've been watching with great interest a bulk buy on Eibach springs currently getting off the ground in the UK. Alans just picked up a set of these off Trelo and should drop the ride height of your Mini by I think 20mm over the sports package thats standard on the S. They've got a price of 84.97 pounds including VAT for a set if they can get 50 sets ordered through Demon Tweeks, I purchase a reasonable amount of race type parts through these guys and their brill at shipping etc.. Because we're not UK residents we also don't pay VAT so the price drops to around 72 pounds from memory (could be wrong but its fairly close) which in Australian peso's is approx $175.00 plus shipping (approx $80) and any duty and GST we get hit with when landed. So lets say a set of springs is going to cost you at a maximum $300.00, and if we bundle a few together when shipping we can share in the one shipping cost (it'll only go up pro rata). 1. Who's interested 2. See the thread in the performance section. BTW Eibachs are probably the best springs money can buy. 2003 MCS Last edited by Darryl; Apr 15th, 2004 at 12:06 PM.

just a note: if total invoice price in under $250 and or duty payable is under $50. Customs do not collect the duty. So you may get away nill duty as one set. But if you combine you may save on freight but you will pay duty. ![]() and 10% gst on invoice price and freight.

I'd do the fitting myself so I can save there, $300 for fitting sounds slightly expensive though. Others may have to make their own minds up with regard to this before committing. I've just rang, Eibach direct in Sydney and they've quoted me $510 plus GST for a set plus fitting (which they don't do inhouse). So you can see theres quite a saving to be had. 2003 MCS

Hi All I am also interested in a set of Eibach springs for my MC. I have been quoted $465 for supply only, and I see that the bulk buy price is ~$300 and that Eibach direct is ~$550. When you add $200 - $300 price to fit, then the price that disdis had of $650 is quite good. I guess I have a couple of Qs: 1. How difficult are the springs to fit? 2. disdis, where did your price come from? Thanks Chris

Hi Chris, I got mine fitted at Pedders in Granville Sydney (02) 9897 2122 ask for Con he's a great bloke, easy to talk to. Mention my name or Chris's (Trelo) it was Trelo that put me on to him. They are pretty straight forwards to fit by all account but time consuminig about 2 1/2 hours.

If anyone is altering their cars ride height you do need to get a wheel alignment completed. Lowering will induce more toe out on the front and alter the rear settings ever so slightly but 20mm or so drop isn't going to worry it. Be very careful also with some of the prices for lowering cars and the springs used. Eibach's are the very best and come with a guarantee of both how much they will lower the car and the correct poundage of each spring. So make sure your getting what your being told you are, Eibachs have their name and all the springs data printed onto the powder coating of each spring. I've had springs made locally when I've been testing setup on the clubman that cost less than a hundred a set. Whilst they are good for data collection when you put them on a press to check poundage they could be 10-20 pound out between pairs. You do get what you pay for. 2003 MCS
