Gazah,
No issue with BMW/MINI over this. Had I really pushed for a car in the interim, I'm sure they would have come to the party. As it was, I didn't need to. Don't tell anybody but I actually enjoyed the automatic and high seating position, particularly in the Melbourne morning peak hour. They don't call it a 'Scenic' for nothing
As long as we ALL had a good day out doing what we love to do, lets put it behind us and work towards the next big outing....NO FACTIONS FOR US!!!
Cheers
The best thing was, the police were too busy chasing you guys to worry about us!! We were looking at taking a few photos, relaxing, enjoying a meal and having a chat so we didnt really hurry.
The traffic was pretty light considering it was a Sunday!! Did you guys have any close bike moments??
Look forward to seeing some of the shots from other Mini2ers - I saw a CR/B there!! Anyone get a shot of that??

You lucky lucky people. I drove the oceon road about 6 years ago and so wish i could do it again, you are so lucky to live in your fantastic country.Hopefully next year (after some hard saving) i will manage to join up with you mob hire a mini and do the G.O.R. again.it really would be a dream come true. Have fun lucky people. SO wish i wasnt in London.
TOP OFF AT LAST. (Everybody be cool, you, be cool.)
I just liked the concept of having drives with groups of Mini owners like what NSW do regularly, so thought I'd put something together back in April.
I was hoping to "UNITE" MiniClubs members- which I am a Foundation member, Mini2.com people, which I am a user, and hopefully the DMG crew, seen as a lot of you are Mini2er also. Nothing official, just a low key event to get together, have a nice drive and a chat about something we all have in common - Minis!!
My dealer hasn't organised runs or anything since I've had my car, so I thought I'd organise a run to give me something to do with other Minis to tide me over til then. When I left the Werribee run, I thought we were all on the same wave length:
If you had a Mini, you were welcome.

No official club yet, just some keen MINI drivers out for a spin (pardon the pun). Like Todd, I am also a 'Foundation' member of MINIClubs, and look forward to something happening in that space.
some of the images are rotated incorrectly, I'm just fixing that at the moment, I'm also uploading a few more that you may not have seen yet.
If you click on 'original' for the size, it will come up with the 3072x2048 version.
(please be a little bit selective about how many hi-res ones you grab, I get 1 gig per month download from that site, and I'm not sure what happens if I hit the limit.....)
All the pics are straight out of the camera, I haven't done anything to any of them yet, so they could probably do with some USM and levels adjustment.
