Just gotta say a big thank you to Todd, who organised the run. It was perfect with the route and the time and also the stopping points for photos. Also, thanks to everyone who turned up, i'm sure we all had a great day of driving along the beautiful scenery of GOR.(i know i had no chance to look tho) As for the other crew that also went, i hope you guys had as much fun as we did. As a few have mentioned before, i'd rather have one VicMini2Club than Doncaster & NonCaster. maybe someone from that group can post the details of their future runs on this forum, so ppl like us, who do not get personal emails from the Doncaster Garage can also join the fun The only way to get non mini2 ppl to come to the drive is by having a large group of minis going out together. What else would attract more interest than 30+ MINIS appearing in your neighbourhood??? by the way, GREAT PHOTOS. now when's the next run??? "IS that a Porsche?" "No~~!!" "So its a Ferrari?" "Nope~~" "OMG~~! It can't possibly be the legendary McLaren F1?" "Ofcoz Not, ITS MY MINI COOPER S!~!"

I know Terry Slocum (eltel) has been trying to get something happening down there however has been very busy with his new business. I also know mini_bm (Bill) is also keen. Maybe you guys should get together and maybe get a Vic committee going. I know there is plenty of interest down there. It just needs someone on the ground in Vic to maybe take the reigns and organise the owners.

Hi Brad, Well yes, that is what I thought was happening. A group of minis were invited to join the Doncaster crew for the last run to Werribee in early May. Apart from me running about less than 5 mins late and being left behind, I decided to drive down to Werribee to meet the group. From the discussions on the day, I thought we were all going along to the Great Ocean Road together. And from speaking to Terry on that day, this would be a great opportunity to get everyone together with respect to a club event. It is a disappointment to see the DMG crew with their own agenda. Most of the two groups use the Mini2 website. Something just doesnt seem right here. Bill. '03 PS/PS MCS JCW Biggest Smile! 09 JCW - More smiles...

Can we organise another way of contacting perspective cruisers in another way, other than the forum? From discussion on the weekend, some had discussed thhat they were worried information on the web may fall into the hands of the law, therefore they would be waiting for them down the road... ( this did not happen, but could - if we got a reputation like some "cruisers" in Melbourne(?) Or even infiltrate the 'gang' and bust us - someone has watched 'Fast and Fuious' a little too much I think!! So I was wondering of any suggestions to stop this - a PM system to all those that register perhaps?? Todd PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos

MINI2 has been fundamental in getting us all together. However, it has been our experience with clubMINI that the MINI2 forum is only part of the picture. The vast majority of clubMINI members are not MINI2 users, and have no desire to be ![]() There are plenty of really nice people out there that love their MINI's but don't spend web time.

Steve and Eltel, As I have discussed in the past, the idea of the original run was to bring Mini2ers, DMG and a number of other people together from outside of both to go on a run. How do we attract people from outside Mini2, DMG, MiniClubs etc... and let them know about the cruises with out the co-operation of everyone? The group ended up fragmented, over two runs to one location. I still dont know how this happened. I tried to bring everyone together (Sending info to DMG, personally contacting anyone not already on the list (with Melbourne or Victoria in their location) all around Mini2, I even went to the trouble of stopping people in the street), I failed to, end of the story. I still had an awesome drive, met some really nice people, spoke about Minis alot and ate yummy food!! (best of all I came home with no fines and big ![]() ![]() ![]() )Todd PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos

Todd, mate i was under the ussumption that we were all going to meet up and all hang out together aswell, i think something should be done to not only get groups together but get certian groups together that want different things out of the cruise.. some people want to just putt along and enjoy the scenery and others want to drive a bit harder and have sum fun..Im more than happy to try to organize a cruise with whoever wants to go, if people want to do a big cruise with everyone let me know...
