Mate that's a great idea for your new car Scotty, We can put the BBQ in the boot and use the back door as a rain cover while we are cooking. Man, no need to bring the party tent, Scotty B is in the house, or is the house!

Mate you are not just a good photographer, but one of the "New inventors".

Just kidding Luv ya work son...

Hi,

I would suggest we use the intercoolers (AKA interheaters) as BBQ's

Just get a plate and sit it on top, throw on a few steaks and snags and you'll be laughing. Anyone who has stuck their hand onto the intercooler 30 minutes after a spirited driving session will know what I am talking about

Scotty and Boo,

Unfortunately the guys from some of these mags are very unreliable.

I did a day where my mini was featured in the launch of Xbox gotham racing by microsoft. The idea was that all the gaming and car mag guys come along, see the game, play the game, and then go on the track in REAL cars. It was at eastern creek, and they had my mini, Lancer Evo6 TME, Porsche GT3, ferrari 360, caterham blackbird, clio sport etc . I took the guy from one of the popular mags for some hot laps, and he was very impressed. I told him, most of the work was done at Peak performance.

After that Nick and Kerri at Peak got bombarded with calls, wanting to feature the minis etc. They also wanted to borrow cars etc etc

Eventually they organised a day at Eastern Creek where a guy was supposed to take photos of my car and Trelos. He didn't show

I never wanted to be in the magazine in the first place, but I was ed off that they stuffed the people from Peak around so much

Geez. Thats pretty low.

Sounds like it could have been great publicity for Peak too...

Not going to hold my breath for my 15 minutes
In saying that, the guys from Fast Fours were true car enthusiasts and great guys to boot. They even pitched in and got their hands dirty doing the pad change so i could hopefully get the car back out on the track...
These guys were all about the cars..... a pleasure to be around.

I don't like to patronise businesses that treat people like that.

Any chance you will share the name of the magazine robbo? I don't want to inadvertantly buy it and accidentally support these bozos.

Hi,

It wasn't actually that bad It was just a bit of a bummer that Nick and Kerry from Peak got the run around. I think they spent a day detailing Trelo's car in preparation. I don't know what happened to the photo shoot.

The guy I met at Eastern Creek at the Gotham Racing launch was pretty cool. I forget his name, but he was the editor of the 4's magazine. He was genuinely interested in the car, and loved the ride. It was interesting, as he was very interested in the smaller cars, ie mini, clio, EVO. Most of the guys from other car magazines eg only wanted to go in the Porsche and Ferrari! The guy from the Sydney Morning Herald was also very nice, and genuinely interested.

Taking the journos from the gaming magazines for hot laps was interesting, as most of them had never been on a racetrack before. I had to stop after half a lap with one guy, as he almost threw up

Maybe not Alan, Wakefield expression day is in June and you indicated you were in LA in May, even QANTAS dosn't take that long to fly half way around the world.
