Offline | Scooter Culture vs MINI Culture All of this week, starting from Monday, at my favourite Café (Latteria) on Victoria Street, Sydney, a Scooter promotion has been taking place with four motor scooters parked out the front of the cafe, in the street, in true Italian style. During this week-long event, I have seen a growing number of scooters join the event and gather alongside these four parked scooters. Not unlike a MINI Club event, scooter riders seem to have this same group or mob mentality. MINI and Scooter owners: Are we stuck in sixty’s culture or do we just love our toys? I would be keen to hear comments on what other MINI2 members think of this, especially if they own a MINI and a scooter, like I do. Coop’s. Café event in Sydney: www.apriliascooters.com.au check it out! ![]() Last edited by GO COOP"S : Apr 30th, 2004 at 04:46 AM. |

| Smurfing Around | I think that they are probably similar in that they are attracted to things that are outside the norm. I didn't know much about the group mentality of the MINI until after getting it, and scooter buyers are probably similar. I think we are drawn together through a common interest that is a bit unusual ![]() |

![]() MCSJCW | Before the Mini's I used to own a HSV, and was in a club. It was NOTHING like owning and being in the mini club. They b!tched about who's car was quicker/lower/optioned. It didn't matter before when I only had a Cooper, no-one said anything, and accepted me because I had a Mini !. ![]() - Blacky - 2003 MCS JCW Trouble Maker |

In the old days, If ya diden't put a plastic bag over my dizzy cap in the wet, the old Mini woulden't go. Dead! Stuffed! Listen to the radio for an hour and wait for the NRMA. Buggered with no mobile phone to call work to say you where going to be late. "Mate" I am old school Coop's The old barstard. Still young at heart. |

Offline | Rubber glove with the end of the fingers cutout full of silicone over the dizzy cap work a treat,It was just hard to remove the dizzy cap. Only stopped once in the rain , added this Mod and it ran, sun or rain. As for the lack of travel in the clutch master cylinder A 2 cent coin worked well and was the exact diameter and gave you 2 mm extra travel. Just some samples of things that you needed the do the get your old mini to go.
