The Victorian Mini Club Incorporated are proud to present this forth indoor exhibit specifically for the Mini Minor, it's derivatives and it's successor, the new MINI. This year is the 45th anniversary of the production of the first Mini and to celebrate this there will be a Birthday Dinner on Saturday the 21st of August 2004. MINISHOW 2004 is a Show'n'shine style event for Mini enthusiasts to display their cars to the public. This is the only completely indoor show exclusively for Minis in Australia and attracts cars and enthusiasts Australia wide. The show has categories for all types of Minis from original showroom condition cars through to Competition and highly modified Street Machines that are recent award winners in open competitions. This year is the 45th anniversary of the production of the first Mini in England in August 1959. Here in Australia the Mini icons were produced from 1961 until 1978. In England, this popular little car was built continuously for more than 41 years until 2001, when its production was finally ceased to make way for the new MINI models that were recently released worldwide. To celebrate this occasion there will be a Birthday Dinner held on the evening of Saturday 21st of August, 2004 at the Highpoint Taverner Hotel, Highpoint Shopping Centre, Maribyrnong. Prior bookings essential. MINISHOW 2004 will have examples of the Classic Mini and the new MINI models on display. From the first Mini 850 through to the last 1.3 litre fuel injected classic models that have been imported from England, and the now popular new MINI models. The doors will be open to the public from 10:00am to 5:00pm. MINISHOW 2004 is a family fun day with other activities to help entertain the participants such as supervised children's activities and famous Mini footage screened in the free Theatrette within the venue. Public entry prices are: Adults $12 Children $5 (6-15) Family $30 (2 adults & 2 children) Car entry $25 (includes one free adult entry) If you would like more information about the day, or how to enter your car into the show, contact the show organisers via email on minishow@mini.org.au or phone on (03) 9744 7126 or 0412 039 863. Information will be updated frequently. Please keep watching. Display space will be limited this year so we advise you to fill in your entry form as soon as we have them available. |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | Who is going??? NewSkool was talking about entering, but I havent heard from him for a few days... last he was saying was that he was getting his 19" rims and pulling the springs out when he arrived... so the car was exceptionally low ![]() Are you going in it Chris? Unfortunately its a bit far for me to go and dump my car for a weekend... then I have to rely on someone to get me home then back to pick it up! Also, if I was to get my car detailed, one trip up the Melbourne road and it would be filthy again ![]() Should definately be up for a look, see anyway!! | Boy who made the wolf cry | URGENT I just contacted the president of the VMCI in regards to the Mini show... I have requested some sort of reserved car parking near the front of the show entry for the Mini2's to park as an "added bonus" for show goers on Sunday... I cant make it on Friday or Saturday... so I cant enter, but plan to come along on Sunday. There are a few fellow Mini2ers that will be entered to get along for a look and fill in some of those peoples choice award slips !!Add your name down here if you plan on attending the show... so we can organise the space we need so we can all park as a group rather than being scattered through the carpark. | Boy who made the wolf cry | Im coming for a look, I would enter, but I have to be back in Geelong at 3, so I think we are going for a bit of a fang in the morning, then into the show... I tried to organise a space for us all out the front, but they told me they arent interested, cause of some agreement with the show grounds.. so meehhh. | Boy who made the wolf cry | I hoped to organise an area with 10 f 15 cars outside, but they weren't interested, so I stopped asking people if they wanted to come... I think there will be 2 or 3 from Geelong hopefully Todd PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |
