| MINI Traitor | Bad news ![]() It's a bit hard to say whether your MINI will be badly affected without you giving us a little hint as to what damage you did. If you have BMW insurance, they will only recomend BMW approved repairers. Maybe you could find out who they are and see if you can get your car repaired there?? |

| KRIZT | I will give the details when the quote comes out and may I ask you guys give me some suggestion? I know BMW approval body repair is better but. My car is in Bendigo....and some of them are booked in until July....It cause a lot of problems. BTW i insured with RACV and they told me BTB smash repair is the largest repair centre in Bendigo tho. |

Offline | Accident Repairs (like everybody) Very sorry to hear of your accident I have seen a couple of crashed MINIs and 25-30k repair bill is huge, I would have thought that warrants a write off - but I am not an insurance expert. Our dealership uses Charlie Battisti, his work is first class and BMW APPROVED. The ONLY other place I would consider is the BMW Body Shop in Port Melbourne. For resale, quality of work & overall piece of mind - use an officially Approved BMW/MINI Repairer. Good Luck |

| KRIZT | Final Result is here... My mini's damage is terrible... (Photos will upload later.) I couldn't believe I've done that to my mini... :-( And the insurance has told me it is a write off. But now i've encounter another problem which is regarding about the insurer. They said they will pay me for the value of the car. ($34,800 without specific) I don't know if they will pay for other specifics too (like nevigation system, cruise control...) It there anyone who has any experience about claiming insurance?! What should i do to make a best claim?! |

Offline | It depends who you're insured with. A lot of the bigger companies will provide a brand new exact replacement of your car if it's written off and is less than 12 months old, which it seems your MINI is. In this case you should be able to get a new car with the same options (nav, etc). If they don't do this, then I guess all you can do is argue with them, but if all they are paying is market value, then not much you can do? Let's see what others have to say? ![]() |
