If anyone is interested,
the Dutton Rally is taking place in Goulburn on the 4th and 5th of June and then Eastern Creek on Sunday the 6th.
So if you can't make the Hunter run, come and see some Minis, Lambos, Porsches etc go head to head on the track and skidpans...
It's going to be fun

s4matt is one of the contestants

as is another Works car.
I have teamed up with Robbo but am a bit rusty in the track department due to my extensive break from the track. I am sure Robbo will be on the money in the speed department as usual.
It appears there may be a Mini class which will prove interesting

Saturdays events are Hill climbs, Drags, Skid Pan and a Motorkhana at night in the main street of Goulburn

The sunday includes skidpan, 1/4 mile as well as circuit at Eastern Creek.
If anyone wants me to send them the schedule of events send me an email and i will return it to you.

Hi,

I have been meaning to post details of this for a while, but I have been too busy (Tasminia etc

) I am still catching up with lots of stuff

For anyone wanting more details of the rally, find them at this link Dutton Rally . Follow the links to the NSW competition.

The event is a mix of circuits, hill climbs, skills tests and motorkhanas.

Boo and myself are teaming up

We should have a lot off fun, but it will be a learning experience for both of us, as neither of us have done this kind of event before. We probably will go OK on the circuits, but the motorkhanas etc will be tough, as we are both inexperienced

The format is good. Both drivers get to do all events. Driver A competes against all other driver A's, driver B vs all other driver B's. There is also an overall competition of aggregrate times of A and B.

We will have fun, but have set our expectations pretty low.

S4 Matt is entered in his mini cooper S. There is another mini with a VERY experienced driver in a Works Cooper S.

There are lots of other nice cars entered. Check out the competitors list.

Once we get through this event, our next target is the East Coast Targa rally in october East Coast Targa Rally . If that goes well we ultimately want to do Targa Tasmania next year

If anyone wants to come and watch any of the events in the Dutton Rally, I believe all are welcome. Also, you will be able to follow our progress on the web.

Don't forget there is a Dutton Rally Victoria Too! If you can't make the NSW event or just like to make as many handbrake turns in a day as possible, then hit up www.duttonrally.com and follow links to the Vic competition.

I have run every Dutton Rally in Vic since it started and it is a real kick in the pants.

The Vic event runs August 6th, 7th and 8th.

Hi,

We got scrutineered tonight

I must say I was shocked with the level of scrutineering compared to BMW club track days

We could have been driving with bald tyres, stuffed wheel bearings and any multitude of performance components

Due to a last minute drama with my car

we are going to be driving "SWORKS", Boo's car.

Wish us luck

We will try and keep you posted with our results

Also, we will try and get some nice photos

Pity about Maddie's exhaust but I suppose that's the advantage you have both having very similar cars ... essentially you have a permanent backup available when needed

Would love to be able to make it down to take some photos but with the Hunter Run on Sunday I need to do a few other things

... definately will have the camera in hand for the East Coast in October
