Well, you've bee very lucky then. The cold start issue is simply that - you try to start the engine after it has been sitting, and it will start to catch, and then stop. usually only once, but I've had it happen 3 times. The yoyo is where the car will start surging, often in second gear with light throttle, but under some load and revs (3k+). From what I hear it seems likely that you haven't ever had this one because you have never used part throttle I won't explain the hesitation, as I've never had it.

Thanks for clearing it all up for me . I am now VERY happy I dont have that sort of problem . Maybe the Hartge upgrade has cleared it up as I got my kit installed at 4000km.

I have to try part-throttle tomorrow for the first time

Thanks again

I hate it, we've had the latest software fitted and its still no better. Unless you bag up the tyres on any sort of hill on take off with ASC off, it just dies and stalls. Times like that I'd be happy to be driving anything but a Mini.

A bit off topic, but speaking of 'Hokey Pokey'.......The guy that wrote that song Larry La Prise died recently aged 93......The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin, they put his left leg in.....and thats when the trouble started.

Well I have my car booked in at MGS tomorrow for a check-up.

I have noticed only in the last few weeks that there is a flat spot on acceleration in 1st gear. It picks up,stuuters briefly and then picks up again.Damn annoying.

I was stopped at a set of lights the other day and while I was waiting it just stalled.Engine wasnt cold and this was a real curve ball. Anyway will get it looked at tomorrow and see what happens.

cheers

When are the rear bars coming in as I am waiting for Chris to call to give me an ETA.

Not brilliant Scotty but I am sure it will get sorted out- got to be positive dont we.

The hesitation really gets on my goat and the thing only got serviced a few weeks ago.Come to think of it it has had the hesitation since then, coincidence or not!

Well I took the car into MGS and got V37 installed.

Only early days but the car feels a bit more responsive and maybe even a tad smoother.Hopefully it solves the hesitation I have encountered but time will tell.
