A quarter of the weight??

I'm interested What sort of price are we talking here? And colours? Black? Or that gunmetal grey?

Contact Chris at sales@amgaustralia.com I think they are about $1000 each which is good price for forged alloy. The R90's are alloy, at least twice the weight and a lot more expensive. His R90 look a likes arrived this week and they are only about $550 a wheel.

You can always have the centres on the BBS painted to what ever colour you want for about $100 per wheel if you have them done prior taking delivery. I haven't seen the anthracite only the silver and gold. The BBS anthracite I have seen on other BBS wheels is one of my favourites . . .

That thing is going to fly Carl

The other week you were all over me from a standing start think you have a lot more lower down the rev range than the JCW

There might be an extra 10hp at the wheels between them but not much. This is a little off topic but as I got out of the car the other night outside my home a policeman walked over and said
"mate, you drive a little fast and your car has a very distinctive exhaust note. My advice to you is to pull ya head in a bit as your vehicle is known in the area and we have had a number of complaints. No real dramas, I own a WRX and I understand you do track days because your neighbours have mentioned that from time to time you have numbers on the side of your vehicle. Just be careful and keep out of the upper rev range when driving close to and from home. Have a good night"
So looking forward to high RPM at Oran Park and hope to see you there Steve!!

Holy !!! That's a little too close for comfort ... I'm always in either warm up or cool down mode in the local neighbourhood maybe you should adopt a similar strategy

Just as well the copper seemed reasonable he could have easily hit you up for a compliance test on the exhaust ... and based on a few close encounters with your car I wouldn't like your chances

Good advice particularly if you have livery all over the vehicle . . tends to stand out a bit then add a noisy exhaust . . . you are a bit lucky there. If they slap a defect notice on the car you have to park it where you get it. They can impound the vehicle and make life very uncomfortable.

Lucky you ran into a cop who was prepared to offer a warning . . he might be one of your neighbours and you woken him up after a night shift or two.

Hi Carl,

I must say, that by the sounds of things, the copper handled things well He gave a friendly "keep your head down" type warning. He could have given you a defect for noise, or for driving with numbers on the car

By the sounds of things, there have been complaints from neighbours The copper has done the right thing by everyone. He has given you a "soft" warning, so you will now drive very carefully near your home. Your neighbours will be happy, you will still have your car and license intact He can go back to the station, and report that he has addressed the complaints of the neighbours

By the way, your scorpion exhaust is very loud I like it I can understand why some neighbours may not

Robbo

BAD *****$!!

Good to see you are enjoying your car!!

I have a 1974 BMW 2002, it makes a lot of noise, inn fact all my mates know my car so well form the exhaust note, that t hey call me when I'm about 1km from their house to say, come and get them!! It has always been me!!

I had the police around one day. I told them it was all stock, people have forgotten what old cars are like. The cop got down underneath and said, "They were that fat?" (2 1/2 inch) I said, "Yeah you should see the turbo model!!" He said that the car didnt look like a "hottie" more like an old classic.

See you guys at Oran Park, probably in the afternoon... I'm coming the long way from Bathurst, through the real windy roads!!

Excellent. I need to get some slicks too

I also was informed that any person that brings 3 or more people to the track is in the draw for a free track day. There is only me and one other guy at the moment who have done that. So I have a fifty-fifty chance of winning it so far. If I win it ,I am happy to give it away to someone in our club
