Offline | I hadn't put any tag on it .. .. .. we can do it as a local MINI2 project if you wish. Just need to finalise permissions however that shouldn't be too much of an issue. What I am mindful of is that time will get away and next thing we will be past the down time period before the Christmas rush at the printers. I am just trying to push it along so that the project actually happens. High res pics have to come in, shortlisted, polled, finished art, film, printed, calendars sold, put in mail tubes and then posted .. .. .. all before November. Any later then we caught up in the Christmas rush at both printers and Post Office. It is a good idea which I am sure will be well supported however the project will stop dead if we don't get things rolling. We have July August and about a week into September to receive the high res pics and poll them for our final 12 and get them to the printers. ![]() |

Offline | I'm not trying to hi-jack this project gazah, it's your idea and you should run with it. I am just very mindful of timings particulalrly leading up to the holiday periods (School and Christmas). If we get the pics in and polled by early September you can then take over the design and print co-ordination rather than start the process then. In the meantime we can all help you get to that point by getting the contributions in, shortlisted, polled and ready for you to take over. ![]() |

Offline | Excellent Gary. So anybody out there in MINI land that has hign res pics of anything related to MINI send them or a link to Darryl: darryl@sheatherbros.com. If you can't upload them to a website or email them to Darryl, burn them to a CD and mail to: 2005 Calendar MINI Clubs Level Four, York House 50 York Street Sydney NSW 2000 Lets get in as many pics as we can. The more the merrier as they say. Gazah and Darryl will shortlist according to the final theme and quality and then we'll poll them on MINI2 to get the final 12. ![]() |

Offline | A transparency would probably be the preferred medium. Not sure of the processes however whatever method gives Darryl the best quality to work with. Send what you have to the MINI Clubs office and we'll pass onto to Darryl. ![]() |

Offline | my $0.02...
i think that if we adhere to these simply guidelines we should end up with a reasonable-sized collection of GREAT SHOTS to work from! ![]() brad has suggested we create a series of desktop calendar images in various sizes for download... so look forward to that side of things also! ![]() for thoroughness, please note that this calendar will be 'not for profit' & while the photographer will be credited for his/her shot they will not receive any $$$... they will however obviously maintain full copyright over the image! i have amended these details to the thread's first post! |

Offline | With transparencies, or whatever else we just need to see the photos at this point of time. (As long as you have the high resolution versions tucked away if digital). So Swamos, most anything will do for the decision making process. We can drum scan the negs if their chosen. 2003 MCS |

Offline | Take the original, or the negative, to your local photo place and have them scan it, or get a duplicate print made and send that in ... it's not rocket science. ![]() |

| kgouin | I know I don't belong here since I live in the US, but I have read through everything else and came upon this thread. I was wondering if I would be able to buy a calander. If not, that is ok. I think that is a great idea to do a MINI calander! Are you going to be printing the calander on an offset press or digital press? |
