I don't fancy coughing up 2k for a set of four runflats in the next few months.

R U coming on Sunday to Bowral? be good to have a natter....

Hi,

Unfortunately, it looks unlikely that I will make it on Sunday

Just to clarify class for the mini at the BMW club meets

MCS with standard road tyres (not necessarily runflats) and limited mods = class B. You are allowed to do a pulley reduction and exhaust, as this is available "stock" with the JCW.

If you go to track tyres (type R, not slicks) you go to class C.

However, the class doesn't matter. The whole point is to go out, enjoy yourself, and try and improve your own times There will allway be people with faster and slower cars

Robbo

Mods: Hartge kit, CAI, oil cooler, headers, cat & exhaust, bilstein coilovers, adjustable bars & camber plates, quaife diff, roll cage, seats, harnesses
GO MADDIE and SPARKY!

ok - one last question then.....

What's the thoughts on 16s versus 17s - I'm sure I've read somewhere that 16 wheels are supposed to handle better and then of course have the benefit of having cheaper and more tyre options, true?

Al.

OK trying to get a count together for Sat 17th at Wakefield Park. Robbo and AJ came up with quite a good count today, could have about 6 minis on the day. So who is coming??

Probably stating the obvious but all participants need to be members of the BMW Club which includes a CAMS licence / Wakefield Park licence. Additionally with the scrutineering of vehicles a fire extinguisher and helmet are essential. Any queries call David Atkin mob 0417 682150. You don't want to be wasting your time driving to Wakefield and be excluded on a technicality..

I do have a Wakefield licence & an inboard fire extinguisher, but no CAMS 2 licence. Can I still participate?

Hey there Amigo,
call David Atkin (mob 0417 682150) as i think you may be able to get a CAMS Lic and club registration on the day... but call to confirm and also to book a place
This looks like it is going to be a fun day with some good racing...

Spoke with David Atkin and apparently as long as I submit an entry form for the day, my Wakefield licence will be enough for me to participate on the day However, I will eventually have to join a club and apply for a CAMS 2 to entitle me to participate in Oran Park & Eastern Creek events. Now I just have to figure out how to secure the fire extinguisher in the cabin

Go and purchase a 1kg extinguisher ( Revolution Racegear) , then ring Nick at PEAK , and he will install it for you. He has done many extinguishers for mini's

Nick can even supply the extinguisher, makes it a simple one stop. Usually they put it on the floor in front of the passenger seat.
