| Whatev. | Photographer on OPH - mystery solved see page 2 Hey everyone, There is a photographer set up on the OPH about 4 mins north of the Hawkesbury River Bridge. He seems to be there most Sundays and it appears that he photographs us coming around the corner when we are heading north. Am interested in finding out if he has any decent shots of us in convoy motion. Am usually too busy concentrating on the road to make note of his details. Mr poki usually has his head stuck in the video camera and his van comes out all blurry. It has something along the lines of Moto GP written on it but I could be wrong. By chance has anyone else noticed this guy and taken note of his contact details (cannot find him in the yellow pages either). Cheers, poki ![]() Last edited by poki : Sep 6th, 2004 at 10:21 AM. Offline | Can't remember the name exactly ... but there was a hand made advertising sign on the side of the road on the corner prior to his setup ... so I doubt that it was an undercover cop Would make for an interesting court case Don't exactly know what he as doing ... taking photos on the side of the road for dollars is an 'interesting' business venture ... wonder how long before he gets a visit from the Boys in Blue looking for some corroborating evidence ![]() |

| Whatev. | He is much easier to spot when you are heading south but he only seems to photograph people who are heading north. He always seems pretty prepared for the MINIs to be heading through because he sees us heading south to meet you guys at PITS and hears us heading back up the hill. I thought he was there to photograph the bicycle riders that are out in force on Sunday mornings. Mr poki has the theory that he is photographing the motorbikes and selling photos to them. Looks like next time I see him there I will just have to stop and have a word. Dunno what he looks like Liam - he usually has his face stuck in a camera with a big a r s e lens on it. Sorry ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I wish it was MOTO I could make a few extra bucks from all the weekenders. I did see a sign before the bend that he sits on. I think it was Motor Images? somethig like that. He also had a web address on the sign but I was all eyes on the road when we went past. I'm sure if you called the Mt White Cafe they would have his details. Coop's PS: I do work for MOTO group and that is the logo. MOTO group is an Event prduction & Brand management company for the Motoring & lifestyle industry. Clients like Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and others. |

| Whatev. | A couple of weeks back we stopped and had a word with the guy and he has sent me some proof sheets of some of the pics he has taken of us in motion. (I will have them at PITS on Sunday for anyone interested). if there is sufficient interest I will get him up to PITS one morning to show us his wares. Below are the plates of the cars he has sent me so far. It is possible that he has a picture of your car, even if it is not on the list, so if anyone not on the list who thinks they may have been photographed is interested - let me know and I will see what I can do. KS 2578 CB/CB NXG 06D PS/B KAF 073 EB/W ANA 98K BRG/W NXE 81W IB/W MC TRELO DS/DS AOI 31M DS/B AOC 71Y CR/W KMS 40Z DS/B SM 903 IB/W AQB 09J VR/W MC NXG 56S EB/W NXC 88L DS/DS AOE 23Z BRG/W MIN 13R CR/W MC NAL 633 DS/W JCW OOH PS/PS JCW MCS BRG/BRG LUV 118 CR/W NXF 78T CB/W SOOPER DS/B IML 337 DS/W EO 069 PW/PW NXE16M EB/W NMC 007 CB/W MC PM 023 CR/W For future reference if you are in the area and want your picture taken he is usually camped on one of the corners about halfway up the hill to Mount White. He has a sign on the guardrail as you approach. Give the horn a toot when you see the sign to warn him that you are on your way and he will photograph you as you drive past. Please drive carefully. Oh yeah, the business name is MOTOPIX and the current price list looks something like this: Prints: (discounts for multiple prints) A5 - $20 (min order 2) A4 - $40 A3 - $80 Framed Images: A5 - $75 (2 for $120 / 3 for $180) A4 - $90 (2 for $170 / 3 for $220) A3 - $140 I am going to try and organise a group buy if there is sufficient interest. Post here to let me know if you are interested and I will get hold of some samples of his work so you can evaluate the quality. Cheers, poki ![]() |
