Hi all, as you probably guessed by the title... I have a small dilemma.

I have a friend who just took delivery of a new Hyundai V6 Tiburon. Now, being a fairly competitive person a race has been suggested between my Cooper S and the new Tiburon (all legal and on private road of course moderators!)...

Here is the problem.

My friend is your A-typical 5' 7", blonde hair, blue eyed young lady who you just couldnt tell that a Hyundai is a Hyundai no matter what..

Do I not race and lose by default, race and win by a mile, race and only just win or lose on purpose?

See, I feel the- 'Well, I tried but you have one fast Hyundai there' approach seems the best way to go... but it seems so wrong to lose... especially to a Hyundai!

Life is so hard in a Mini

Oh yeah.. pics of the new mini with stripes and chrome with the old mini are on the way !

This is what you want to do.

Do you want to get lucky with her??

Have a bet with her, say a nice nice meal at a flash resturant.

If so let her win by a close margin. She will be calling in the bet + you also win.

But this is the BIGGIE tell a close friend (which both of you know) of the plan. which he\she will eventually blurt out at the pub a few weeks later.

If you don't want to get close and personal

Flog her down the track.

Now....if she wins legit... You will be banned from driving a MINI forever....Gee Hyundai can beat a COOPER S... just inexcuseable

No not quite But I said "want to have a look at my New Mini?" I overheard her say that to one of her friends at the pub look at the cool mini

if the tiburon is a v6 I would have thought it would be a reasonably close race actually, they're not a half bad car (for a hyundai....)

Hmm you have a tough decision....

Being a girl, the brett approach is quite good, I think it would work. But if you do lose, you will never live it down

Dear KS Aunt,
I have a problem. Everytime I take my MINI out for a drive, at least 6 girls want to "test" out the back seat, because of the shape. Everyone knows that the rear seat is only designed for 2 people

What should I do

Should I buy the Mini Limo

actually I'll retract my comment, 2.7L V6 and 0-100 is only 8.7 seconds???? who designed that engine????

You can fit 7 people in the backseat, although it may be cramped, but isn't that the idea

just make sure you put the rear headrests up like the little diagram on the C-Pillar says to.

MickyD is pretty right - the Tiburon is 0.5 seconds slower to 100 but has a 5 year warranty so is obviously a much better built car than the MINI
