Hi,

On both of my cars (02 and 04) it is not next to the battery. In both is is on the passenger side

all depends on where you leave from???

200km north of Mel, be carefull on the Hume, they have multiple cameras they use to calculate your relative speed over enxtended sections of the highway, best to use the cruise control and keep both your points and your cash , no need to make donations to the Vic government

Well it was an interesting day....good fun....Winton is certainly a really nice track to watch at as you can see all the action...even if so far away...the Ford organising of the day was interesting....100 cars turned up rather than the 80 limit they quoted....there were 12 on the track started in 3 groups of 4 from a standing start!!...there was some evidence of grading but it appared hap hazard...which led to some interesting starts with some who wanted to race rather than be in a sprint....There was a group of MX5 who started together and about 3 went off at the second/third corner of their warm up lap...but the pinicle of that was the guy whohaving been off at least once on the warm up lap then approached the final s bend at speeds ony an F1 driver would consider ...did a pirouette followed by a slide....followed by a perfectly lined up driver side meeting with the wall. ...good job there was no tree there.....he was Ok but very angular car now .... Scott did pretty well and held up the mini flag proudly.

Kick in the tail for me was on the way home when the clutch pedal gave a very strange feel as I changed down......then....engine revving but not much power to the wheels

managed to get part way down the Hume with car in 4th gear at 80kmh acting like an automatic....engine revs and eventually power (some) arrived at wheels. Ended up on the back of a mini assist vehicle and is currently under review at Doncaster. Probably needs new clutch.....

shame really as I signed up for a new JCW on Friday night at doncaster and traded hyperblu .....will only happen in December though as car needs to be built yet.

Geoff took some pictures but I haven't seen them yet.

Richard.

There will be at least one mini competeing in the Rob Roy hillclimb at Christmas hills this Sunday if anyone is interested. Starts at 10am and goes to around 4.30. Usually some interesting cars taking part in a nice venue. Benefit of a few twisties on the way there and back as well.

Interested driver

We are running a team in the Phillip Island Regularity event weekend of 30Sept/1st October, we're looking for any one who may be intereseted in assisting on the 1st. It will provide a good oportunity to get an insight into motorsport at a club level and a great opportunity to be part of a team event.

If this may be of interest to you please feel free to contact me. There is no financial commitment required just your assistance.

Cheers,

Harry

Hi Chris,

Had 3 MINIs up at Rob Roy today .... Frank from VMCI, Eric and Richard... and another 4 in the carpark - Me, Stephen, Michael and Tracey.

The guys got some early runs in before the day turned to sh*t. .

Rain, hail, and windy as all get out . We all packed up and went home around midday .

Nonetheless, a good morning's worth of climbing the Hill.

Cheers.....Geoff
