F A N T A S T I C day at Sandown.

Very well run, and great fun.

Scott and I upheld the honour of all Mini owners and engendered the usual MiniGoodwill.

Pics tomorrow maybe.....

Dont miss the next one, not at all intimidating and a great day where you can drive your car the way you want to and be given professional tuition by a great team of blokes...ask Scott...he's still picking pebbles out of his spolier !!

Funny you mention the sunroof, it is a bit 'creaky'......
Only had it open the first session...

Scott and I did spend a bit of time close on the track, but he and his car are much quicker
than me and mine......R spec rubber, smaller rolling diameter tyres, JCW (1+2) and a rear sway bar......better driver.....prolly about 6-8 seconds a lap difference....

We did get the Italian Job jokes from the crowd though......where's the 3rd mini with the sexy chick etc...

Sounds like Scott knows what he is up to. Any plans for mods now? Tyres? Rear swaybars? Reduction pulleys? Do it

That would be fun, but too slow... Its probably out of the finances for a year or so now

I want to get a few things done first anyway... a motor rebuild is in order soon I think. Twin webers, forged pistons, new cam and some head work is on the cards for later in the year.

Body work is being done late winter.

The silver GT-2 (yes, 2wd Turbo Mofo) was intergalactic fast....passed me and sucked my chrome door handles clean off along the back straight !

Hi-res disc on the way from Cyberblack already arranged....

How good does that B/W MCS look huh ?
