I'd love to cmpete but I'II be in Qld, Todd, Morwell will be fine on run flats speeds are quite low max about 120km. In the rain it is a bit slippery but just drive within your limits, the MINI is quite competitive because you rely on handling not horse power. The only prob is if they run it in reverse youll loose time because the start is uphill and the MINI cant get its power to the ground. This type of event is an ideal starter to get the bug.

I was seriously thinking about it Scott, but I have decided against it as it is so far away from my house... I would need to be up at 4am to get there.... then I would be knackered by 12pm! Then I wouldnt get home til about 9:30pm.

I will do the event when I'm a bit more sorted with swaybar, springs and tyres.

I think it would be good if we could do some motorkhanas, they're good fun, safe, very low risk of damaging the car or hurting yourself, and did I mention fun?

Maybe we should investigate the cost of hiring DECA for a day......

DECA is a long way away too... the Toyota Carolla car club (I think) run motorkhanas in Werribee - there is good facilities there - I have been meaning to enter one for ages, but I need to organise a CAMS license and a new helmet too.

Its either at Toyota or at the Toyota car club grounds... They have the victorian Motorkhana championships there.

THINK I QUALIFY AS A RACY MELBOURNIAN,

Just paid up and will see you there KGB. Who else is in??
Sounds like good value as it will be run as a "open pit" ie unlimted track time if you want it. If anyone is thinking of getting into track days sounds a good start with no timing and experienced instructors on hand. How many MINIS can we muster? Places are limited.

SCOTT
