Cool! Did you get a ride in any other cars?

I have to agree your car looks haaaawn! I think you need a sway bar from that backside shot...

abt 6 laps in a Caterham, 2 different instructors....not bad for a very expensive minimalist
Pommie go-kart...only130km/h top speed down the straights though...the only thing the MCS could pull away from on the straights.

Missed the Gallardo ride with Paul Stokell 'cause I was busy driving my own car and he went home early (dinner with Mum or something)....
It was his Targa Tassie car....he should do well in it, small and fast.

Damn about missing the Stokell run, but I can understand you wanting to play in your car...

Why was the caterham so slow down the straights!?! What gear ratios were they using???

It's becasue they use a war suprlus Rover K-series engine....and the aero is pretty
bad. They seem to be set up for lower speed stuff, don't know what ratios it was running.
Hit an aero/gearing wall at 90mph.

Importer was there and he has big plans for the marque, but the new ones with the
Cosworth or VVTi ricer motor are going to be $80k plus. Seems they are selling well,
he says, old codgers are buying them. Couple of years and I'll be in that 'class'.
Bit of a toy really, and if you look at it that way there are alot of other options where
you don't drag your elbow on the tracking cornering

Chris,

There's another one in July and we would expect to see you and a couple of others there on the day.....

Your suspension mods etc would have you circulating very well indeed.

Good, I was trying to be smooth and limit understeer particularly on the exit to corners.
R/F cops a bit at sandown, but nothing too bad.

Those amongst us who are perhaps students of the Queen's English would have
observed that my comment on the "R/F" is in the singular.

Those of us who are motorosports fans would have probably noted that R/F means RIGHT FRONT.

Robbo was on the ball, Todd you "Generation SMS'er"......
